Grider and Council are grasping at straws with the administrative ordinance reasoning and the rebid to save their un-needed franchise. They should be ashamed of their actions.city still seems to have their power grab and anti medic one agenda. now wants to rebid and probably put promed in again.
medic one will have to do another petition.
city will claim it can't be voted by referendum from the people this time as it is an administrative ordinance.
citing some obscure past zoning case law ruling is likely a weak threat and bluff.
bluffing will get some lawyers, judge, and $$$ involved.
also cost of a special election.
voters shave spoken.
time for city offcials to grow up and listen. voters don't like being pissed on.
good luck with that upcoming 6 mil pool project vote.
I have lost what little respect i had for all of them. Mainly for their original rush and now continued push of the franchise after the vote. Especially the mayor and our expected senior leadership of the council who have failed us.
A judge needs to slap "our" city officials for bluffing voters and doing the same ordinance so soon after voters have spoken on the issue.
