"WE HEARD"? REALLY?
THERE WAS NO CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION BECAUSE THIS WAS
A TERRIBLE FARM ACCIDENT THAT TOOK THE LIVES OF TWO
GOOD YOUNG MEN IN OUR COMMUNITY. DON'T START CRAP ABOUT
TOXICOLOGY TESTS AND CRIME LAB GARBAGE. THAT JUST CHEAPENS
WHAT REALLY HAPPENED, AND IS A SLAP TO THE FAMILIES AND FRIENDS
THAT LOST THEIR LOVED ONES. DON'T HURT THESE FAMILIES FURTHER.

You are showing mean spirit. I lost a brother once to a horrible accident. I know pain. The statement I made has truth to it or I would never state so. You cannot call the Toxicology tests and crime investigation on one of them GARBAGE. Its a fact. I had to testify in that case against the county on behalf of Sheriffs office and That is exactly where I first learned about that information and Im sickened by how they treated a deceased person.They.....meaning our local law. This happens to lots of familys in Randolph county, not just these two. This is about news and reporting, not hurting anyone. I have a right to post just what I posted. I didnt want to testify, but i was supeonead to do so and I changed my mind fast about our local Sheriff and how he does things around here and treats no names vs big names. Thats all this is. You are just mad. You just started crap yourself. Why?

You need to check on your mis information. There was a criminal investigation on one of the deceased. It started while he was still laying on the ground. Ask Deputy King.He called a name on the scanner, We heard it. If that were my family member and his name came cross my scanner while Im filing my chainsaw, I would freak. Thats not appropriate. There are private cell phones for that. Cell phone is how that family member learned he was deceased, No personal visit by sheriff or deputy. What is our world coming to. Sorry to make you mad, Not my intent.

You think "Intelligent" law enforcement officers who think they are "Professional" would use a cell phone or a secured or scrambled radio channel. This is clearly conduct to embarass or intimidate the victim's family.
I think another lawsuit is needed, to show that the GOB's and big shot wanna be's cannot get away with this.

I got this weeks issue of the POKY Star Herald , this paper has completely degenerated!
THe letter to the editor contained the usual one sided political rant against Republicans from the local liberal crazy ( you got to expect that since that old lady editor wouldn't even admit that Keith Sutton was running for State representative!
But the topper was the Story of the Dalton Ladies Garden Club meeting! 2 whole columns of tripe!
I am waiting for them to report just who's toilet doesn't flush or just why Anne's son got the job as the county historian .
I still have a subscription but I am going to let it run out since this worthless rag of a paper continues not to report all the important local news.
As an example it Never did report about the Jones lawsuit that the county had to pay for .
"you got to expect that since that old lady editor wouldn't even admit that Keith Sutton was running for State representative!"

you expect them to admit/publish the above when it isn't true?

hear what you want to, but tox tests are required by law in accidental deaths. no need to publish results unless charges are filed.
fyi, the man that later died in the memphis hospital did have tests done there as part of an investigation before released back to arkansas for burial. let it rest u azzhole, and move if you're ashamed to live here.

You won't hardly ever find anything negative about a Baltz in the paper as an example of her protecting a family .
Ever notice that the Quorum court meetings are also written in a way to protect them .
Just who on that court actually voted to INCREASE THE MILLEAGE ON PROPERTY TAXES!
get it right. he voted AGAINST the current millage. NOT to increase it.

Never said who voted against the mileage increase , it was said that the shitty little paper wouldn't tell us!
As for who was running as a Republican in the stste representative race against LCS , the stinking rag never even identified him.
But Remember you Baltz lover that the paper never published information about the lawsuit that he was directly to blame for or the amount of the pay out .
You can bet that when that little shit butt runs against some one that it will be justly brought up.

What you say is right. Never said different.
Not a azzhole either, but there is more ugly to that story like I said. I know. Can you explain why the family never got to see the no name man and give him a decent burial.Sheriff wouldnt let that family see him, shipped him off that weekend and never had decent to tell in person about a death. Put his name on a scanner and ran his history. Did you hear it . I did. I asked too, Its fact, Sherriff told that family, they couldnt have nothing or see nothing until "His" investigation was done. I got facts sheriff didnt give that no name mans personal items back for 3 months. He told them no, There is a investigation. Fact. Want more. That family told by coronor his body was bad. So not being able to see, That family made agonzining decision and Cremated. They saw body 3 months later after sheriff turned over pictures, a ring, lighter, etc. Decent pictures of a whole man. They were devasted again. That no name man could have had a regular funeral. That family was devastated on top of the death by crappy sheriffs actions Over and over and all because that mans sister was sueing him. You can deny all you want, I heard facts, And right out of the Sheriffs office. I Dont expect paper to publish standard stuff like what you post. Wasting ur time telling me to not talk. This is about unfair people we have around this place. You dont have to get so mad unless you think things may have been strange yourself. Dont worry about what I write, Read another forum, Or move azzhole.

looks like you hate has consumed you, leading to some irrational claims against the paper.

"Just who on that court actually voted to INCREASE THE MILLEAGE ON PROPERTY TAXES!"
"Never said who voted against the mileage increase"

for you dense folks - no one voted for or against an increase in millage.
the vote was to keep the millage the same and someone voted against that.
the paper would be foolish to publicize otherwise.

the paper most certainly did id the candidate running against lcs.
his announcement, ads, and sample ballot.

also foolish to publish a private out of court settlement if they could even find out.

The Lawsuit was a matter of public record!
Since when is a lawsuit brought against the city or county government determined to be Private?
You sure carry a load of shit to protect your boy Scotty.
Just where did the cost of the defending against the lawsuit and paying for the settlement come from?
And why isn't this considered NEWS?
This little paper chooses to censure the news and that is a proven fact.
It's circulation and advertising base is crumbling because it is no longer trusted as a reliable news source.

how much

well if one man voted against keeping the milliage the same then that one man WANTED a milliage increase. that one man is Henry Dust, maybe the paper wouldn't print his name a couple of weeks ( 8-1 vote}ago but all you have to do is read this week paper to figure that out.

foolish to publish a county lawsuit settlement? private? FYI anything and everything that is paid and funded by taxpayers is PUBLIC RECORD for all to see and read. all they have to do is request it!

our local wipe just doesn't print such things because they don't want too, but they have printed one lie in this weeks paper about the staffing levels are state mandated.

in my opinion when you have one jp saying " THE WAY I SEE IT WE HAVE TWO CHOICES, WE CAN RAISE THE MILLAGE OR WE CAN TAKE THE MONEY OF THE HOSPITAL SALE FUND"

wow,
maybe not on henry dust

Mountain Home, AR

#37 Dec 11, 2011
he is trying to preserve the old hosp sale funds as long as possible. did you question him on his vote.
the vote WAS NOT ABOUT AN INCREASE - it was on the same millage as proposed. he voted against the same millage.
maywe need the millages re-arranged = millage increase for roads and millage decrease for the library.
do YOU know which millage is greater and yields the most $$?

the quorum court may exercise the following powers, but not limited to
a.b.c.d

E) create, consolidated, separate revice or abandon any elected office or offices except during the term thereof: provided however that a majority of those voting on the question at general election have approved said action

F) FIX the NUMBER and COMPENSATION of DEPUTIES and COUNTY EMPLOYEES.

G) fix the compensation of each county officer with a minimum and maximum to be determined by law

don't bet your job that i can't hire a better attorney then the paper! since i have the knowledge to look up the law on state mandated staffing levels, no libel on my part. good to see you used the word "usually" lmao

yep, look up the meaning of the word compensation

county officer = elected official,

not county employees salaries

not a mandate for number of employees!
