INSTEAD OF ANSWERING EVERYONE ON HERE, JUST WRITE THE CHECKS AND BE DONE ALREADY. WE DON'T NEED YOUR EXCUSES FOR YOUR MOTHER.
AND QUITE SAYING YOUR MOM NEEDS A OUTSIDE JOB TO MAKE MONEY TO
PAY EVERYONE BACK. NO WAY SHE CAN EARN ENOUGH QUICK ENOUGH TO
PAY EVERYONE BACK IN A TIMELY MANNER. WE NEED OUR MONEY NOW TO
ORDER ANOTHER STONE.

SOOOO. WHY DON'T YOU PUT YOUR ADDRESS AND PHONE # ON HERE. THAT WAY WE CAN CONTACT YOU, SEND IN OUR RECEIPT, AND WAIT FOR THE CHECK YOU WILL, I'M SURE, SEND OUR WAY WITHOUT DELAY. WHY HAVEN'T CHECKS BEEN SENT TO EVERYONE ON POLICE DEPT LIST? WHY HAVEN'T THEY BEEN AT LEAST CONTACTED BY YOU?

She is still a criminal and should pay for her crime, she is no better than any other common thief around here.

I'm just a bystander here, no interest in this at all, EXCEPT that I see apparently victim restitution being made in a responsible and measured manner. How often does that actually happen? I'll say kudos to the family that is helping their mother. god knows, no one else will... from the tone of comments, most would rather pay an extra $20000 a year to keep her in the slammer, while letting a few crack head thieves loose to make sure there is room for her. Anyway, poster Carol, keep up the good work for your family, I think there would be a great amount of support for your actions.

YOUR COMMENTS WOULD BE DIFFERENT IF YOU HAD LOST $5000 ON THIS CRAP.
YOU SAY NO ONE WILL HELP HER? WELL, JUMP RIGHT IN THERE. INSTEAD OF
FLAPPIN YOU LIPS, SEND HER A BIG OLE CHECK TO HELP OUT.
TELL ME WHAT THE DIFFERENCE IS BETWEEN A CRACK=HEAD THIEF AND
SOME ONE WHO DEFRAUDS PEOPLE OF $100,000+? BOTH NEED TO BE IN JAIL.

well Gerald, did you loose money? If so did you ask for a refund instead of flapping your lips?

so Gerald, you're telling me you'd rather cost the taxpayers 100,000 to keep her penned up, and then just forget the restitution? If she can work, then she can pay back. Otherwise, you force all taxpayers to cover her jail to satisfy YOUR definition of justice.... or should I say revenge.... You are correct. I did not lose 5000$... but I've lost thousands in other ways, and learned from it. I hope you can find a way to do the same. It will increase your happiness.

I dont have a Gerald Heber on my list, so if Mom did take money from you, you need to contact the Pocahontas Police Dept. I am not gong to put my number on this most wonderful online site..... For your information I have mailed out more checks today, have called several more to get correct addresses. Will be calling more each day this week after work for addresses and will probably mail out the remaining checks on Thursday.

This is my way of dealing with this huge problem.... if you don't like me answering everyone on here,,,,, don't read it. It's therapy for me. I'm not giving excuses, I'm giving facts. Our family has made arrangements so we can pay the customers back in the next week to week and a half. This is a lot faster than if Mom was in jail, there wouldn't be any checks going out. And like I said I don't have a Gerald Heber on my list. You might want to call the police Dept and tell them to get in touch with me...

EVEN IF YOU PAY RESTITUTION, THAT DOES NOT MEAN JAIL TIME IS NEGATED.
THIS WAS A CRIME, AND JAIL TIME IS WARRANTED. ALSO, WHY WOULDN'T CHECKS BE GOING OUT IF YOUR MOM WAS IN JAIL? WAS THERE A DEAL MADE?

NO. I'M SAYING RESTITUTION SHOULD BE MADE, PLUS DOING JAIL TIME. WHY SHOULD'N'T SHE GO TO JAIL FOR FRAUD?
IF YOU ROBBED A SEVEN-ELEVEN STORE OF $10000 AND GOT CAUGHT,
DO YOU REALLY THINK IT IS OK TO JUST RETURN THE MONEY AND EVERYTHING IS OK.
IS THAT REALLY YOUR TRAIN OF THOUGHT?

. No deal made .... the family just wants the customers to get their back as fast as they can. It has just taken us a little while to make arrangements for the money.. It is a lot of money to come up with.

Gerald, my train of thought,(and the dictionary as well as legal system), makes a distinction between robbery and fraud. Its up to you to discover the meaning of each, of which you are obviously unaware.

GERALD, I have nothn to do with this. he lady didn't take any of my money. had no reason to do business with the lady. But her daughter Carol is trying(I think) to help make things right to people who her mom did wrong. but the way I see it you just want to get on here and BITCH and GRIPE. so if the lady owes you money, prove it and I think youll get your money back. Carol has done everything but mail you a check, but I think you just want to run that big mouth of yours. so its time for you to either put up, or shut up!

I think restitution and prison time are called for, she stole money from people and is a felon. Why should she get off with just restitution ? When someone is sent to prison they still have to make restitution, maybe a few years in Mcpherson Correctional facility will do her some good.

The only people around this area that go to jail for stealing are the petty crooks that steal a few dollars or steal a tv. The county workers or members of a "good" family that steal from banks or companies or the county-city get off without prison time. Some even get promoted for stealing, remember the guy that stole all the money from the Case place years ago, see where he is now.

How can she pay restitution while in prison? She is a felon.
