Well the Star Herald did it again. Just like when they gave Ms Hogue credit for putting up Christmas Lights when the Inmates did the work, they gave a shop owner credit for doing what hard workers did. She just showed up for a picture doing maybe 2 heads and others doing hundreds. Way to go Star Herald!

That paper is shameful and has no ethical standards anymore, but we already know this dont we.

Has anyone ever tried to open another, smaller paper? I'm speaking of a paper that "tells the rest of the story" and operates with integrity; no rumors or speculations. I know it would require having the financial ability to start such an operation, and that cuts me out. But unfortunately, the Star Harold is not an investigative news source.. It is not a real "News" paper. However, that does not mean it is deliberately trying to keep citizens in the dark. Rather, The Star Harold is a small town "newsletter" intended to keep residents proud.

It seems, the future of our city is in serious jeopardy. We need the whole story. In fact, the whole story might help citizens trust the local government rather than harbor the feeling it has failed miserably. More insight, might help the community recognize what issues need immediate attention. Facts allow those directly effected by the decisions our elected officials make, could take take concerns to the meetings and not be dismissed or discounted so easily. I'm just rambling now. But again, has anyone ever mentioned starting a second, informative newspaper for all of Randolph County?
