Who will you vote for in the Mayor's race for Pocahontas? I have been listening to others and the talk going around how Mr. Story feels he is a clear cut winner.
I will vote for a person with experience in city government, the laws, and has a good relationship with other businesses. I will vote for Tim Scott. Say what you want about the GOB talk, we need a Mayor with knowledge on laws and ordinances with Peco coming to town and more industry will likely follow.

I am voting for Tim Scott.

I will b voting for Story. How long has it taken this GOB system to bring jobs to Pocahontas? Even Scott himself said this was the biggest announcement ever. Why not 5, 10, 15 yr ago couldn't he help get anything here. Other city officials I've spoken to really don't want him as Mayor.

We have no choice but Tim! Story has zero experience in City Government. He hasn't a clue what he is getting into. If Story is elected, this town is in twice the trouble it is already in! He doesn't even have a clue how city government is run. Story is not the choice. Big mistake!

Well seeing how things have gone in the past. Mr. Scott and most of our other "elected" officials don't understand city government and hoe to effectively operate it either.

Putting a man with no experience in city government when we have the opportunity to grow will be a big mistake. Story is not the man for the job. I guess it is Tim Scott's fault that no job growth as large as Peco? That is a time when we need a stable leader. Mr. Story has little experience and Mr. Scott has years of experience.
I urge others to pass the word and consider the risk of a young person with little business experience, no experience in city government, against a older, more experienced man.

I have spoken with numerous city leaders here in Pocahontas, and none of them have spoken against Mr. Scott.

Mr. Story is not the person I will vote for.

l've seen Tim at work. He wants it so bad he's gagging for it, which is the very reason not to give it to him. Hizzonner is nothing but an honorable mention anyway, he has to do what the council says. So give Tim the glory job, his past experience counts for naught. I'd just as soon he be in the hot seat when the next lawsuit rolls in.

Can you name one thing Tim has done that has benefited the City. Lawsuits, millions to a failing hospital, ambulance service mess, tax the people for a water park. If that is knowing city government, I want someone who doesn't know anything.

He's part of a failing team. Why give him a promotion? Kary Story is young and possibly naive but giving him a chance is better than the risk of getting Scott

Tim Scott has been no help to the city or the county in the past. Why would that change?

I hear this in every race from one side, That the new opponents dont have a clue what they are getting into. Or no experience.Thats because the other side have the clue what is going on and the Machine must stay greased by only those who know the loop holes to keeping the system like it is, In favor of the GOBs the unelected officials running the town Period. If we had elected all the new people in past elections we might be a little better off , As of now all those that have a CLUE are the Ring Leaders and they must elect only those that will not upset the system and are part of it. Period. How funny and transparent

Story is a nobody. Nothing but a Vodkaholic. He has been telling some city employees that their job was safe "when" he is mayor. Does he not realize he does not have that authority to hire and fire? The city does not need him.

Story is just what Pocahontas needs. Great guy. Great family. Pocahontas is a dying town. He will breath new life into it.
