Look,

As you are a child, it is understandable that you cannot fully appreciate what you read in the Bible. As you mature, you'll be able to think a bit more for yourself and will be able to communicate accordingly.

I would be interested in knowing your denomination and the answers to the questions regarding the "days" asked above about Genesis, Adam and Eve. Perhaps you could take those to a Bible study discuss them and let me know.

Is love all you can come up with because the book plainly tells us we are to hear, believe, confess, repent,an d be baptized in water for the remission of sins and live godly, have you been baptized for the right reasons,if so then you will understand eph 4-4 through 4-6 where it is telling you there is one church.

Look,

Looks like Look has hit a wall. Hard to make out what you are saying or to whom it is said.

BTW, believe what, confess what? I think you may not be sure and therefore not sure of your own salvation. We can fix that.

You are all a bunch of nuts! You have thousands of churches based on the same moronic book. If your so called "god" was real, the bible would be easy to understand and follow. Like they say "you can't fix stupid". Keep fighting morons.

"Look",
Evolution needs no defense.
Evolution is a fact!
I find it amazing YOU want to limit an All Powerful God in the way He can Create a such a beautiful World and Universe.
God can create the world and universe and man anyway God wanted, it is up to use to understand, why else give us a brain?
But's that's Old Testament.
Since man could not follow God Commandments He gave us a second chance in the New Testament.
Which, by the way, has NOTHING TO DO WITH EVOLUTION, Anthropology,
Geology, Physics, Race, the size of your bank account, the or even how much "book larnin'" you have.
It is simply a Manner or FAITH, GOD sent his Son to Die for our Sins, FAITH HAS NO PROOF!
Ignorance of Science is NOT PROOF of FAITH.
GOD will JUDGE US ALL.
I am not your judge, nor you mine.
But I am weary of False Prophets who consider ignorance a testament for Christ.
Christ gave us the new testament, when he came from the grave and started his church, but not because man need a second chance,it was for christians to live by,you do not seem to understand that we dont burn bulls and goats anymore, therefore we have the n.t.to live by now.

Nutcases,

On one level, I must agree with you. Christianity can be a bit messy. We are a “peculiar people.” But as a person that saw his own deliverance from a place from which I wanted to be freed, I found no other way. Some people that knew me before and after my conversion were so convinced there must be something to it that they came to Christ as well.

My mind was healed; I became pretty well educated and travelled the world. I had a very successful career as a scientist. The evidence in my own life and thankfulness I have has made me committed to always defend the fundamental belief. My understanding and beliefs associated with the historical and spiritual aspects have evolved and change through 40 years of study and growth.

Paul contended with Peter at times in the NT and most of that involved the free gift of Grace (Paul) versus having to work for salvation (Peter at times). Invariably Paul’s teachings of Grace won the day. Today much of what is debated regarding salvation remains the same.

As a scientist, I follow proof and evidence. The evidence I’ve seen in my life and others reinforces my belief in the truth of Christ. In the world I see Christians giving freely, even paying to help (Google:“Mercy Ships”). This is unique in the world of individuals working for the God they believe in. Consider where the world would be today if Christ were never born.

That some people want to make things like evolution or other scientific truths a matter of Christian salvation is simply wrong. They limit God to their prejudices. But they are still saved if they follow Romans 10:9&10.

Like many families, the “family of God” is not perfect. We are told so in the NT, but that on the return of Christ, we the body, the “Church” will know as we are known and what is now seen darkly will be completely revealed. I think no Christian has gone without questioning the “whys and the wherefores” but the fundamental belief remains. God in Christ in us.

The more you post the less knoledge you show, you evadently dont hold enough knoledge to defend even what you post, you post and i ask you about what you have posted, but you cant answer, you ask unreasonable questions, like confession,or repentance, things i have already posted scripture on,cant you read after you have ask and i have gave you book, chapter, verse, love will get you no knoledge and this is what most want to teach, why because its simple you will never study the things you need to study, but i will say again love, love, love will not get you salvation or knoledge.

What is a 'well educated scientist' doing on Pocahontas topix? I'll try to keep an open mind.

Nutcases,

The topic was "How Old is the Earth." That was intriguing. The discussion seemed to be Christians against evolution vs. "others." I thought I had something to add as a Christian that believes in evolution, have considerable study in the area and have tried to understand it in the context of what is written in Genesis.

As it turns out there is also an individual here that portrays himself as a Christian, but he cannot identify what must be believed to be saved. The person also seems to do all he or she can to alienate anyone toward Christianity. That has presented a challenge.

Plus I'm semi-retired and have the time.

Nutcase,

Perhaps some of us did not realize that Pocahontas topix was limited to the uneducated.

Fortunately, I was born at at "Five Mile Springs", maybe it was the water.

The key word was Pocahontas, not Topix. I would guess that there are few "educated scientists" in this area.
