anyone have tips on digging out an old pond

i have a pond that has filled in over the years would like to dig it out.is a backhoe the best opition? if so who here in pokie will do it at a reasonable price?

depends on the size/depth of it. An escavator might be better. A guy in Maynard with the last name Groning is a heck of backhoe operator. Have seen him work.

Try a shovel...Maybe you and the old lady with two shovels..be faster that way..Wait you live in NEa so your likely on SSI ..Well a hard days work is out of the question huh

Call Ken Turner at Warm Springs. He has a dozed, trackhoe and a backhoe. Real good with them all too.

jerry chastain is the best around here has prolly one of the best dozer operators in this town he is in the book or you can ussally catch him at the 166 cafe around lunch

i know that all the dirt u get out of it is some of the best dirt for a garden especialy if u had cattle runnin around the pond
