I just wanted to make sure we all remembered our vets this weekend including my great uncle Wolf "Lenny" Blansett. Wolf, as many of you know fot in both WW2 and the Korean wars. And was a decorated soldier for many life-savin feats on the battlefield, including when he had to beat a korean to death with his bear hands to save his platoon from being blown up with a grenade. Also, when he lost both ears on the day when we invaded normandy beach to save another soldier during WW2.

He was never the same when he came back because many ignorant folk would call him dawg face, because he had a large amount of facial hair that he couldnt control. Or scar face cause he had a bad complexion from acne and briar cuts from living in woods at times. or they would call him deaf SOB or hellen keller becuaes he had no ears and culdnt hear. it breaks my heart to this day.

Also, many of you will only remember him for his heroics at current river beach when he beat seven young tuffs from Piggott almost to death that were picking on some loacl girlz and elderly that were fishin. He used his brute strength to save others from harm and stood up for our wonderful city's rites.

However when you remember him, please know behind those deaf ears and waffley, hairy, scarred looking face was a kind man who was tuff as a hickory cane and served our country with honor.

Please place a flower on his grave site this weekend (small flat creek rock stone with Wolf inscribed no bdate or death date inscribed).

Thank you for remembering Wolf Betsy. I rember Wolf from the days he would drink beer at the legion hut. he was very kind even though he never spoke a word. When get got drunk wuldnt bother anybody and would just black out in the rear of his ranchero until the next morning.

Also, one time at county fair back in the early 70's he ate 17 corn dogs on a dare without vomiting. He just wanted some attention and friendship and the bstrds that put him up to it left him to walk back to his sleeping room/tent.

RIP Wolf.....

Isn't that the time some guys put ex-lax in those corn dogs and old wolf slid all the way home. It took him a week to clean his pants.

Please show Wolf some dignity and respect. Your joke is not funny.

Please remember him for who he was and honor him.

Thank you.
