I can't feel sorry for someone that can't respect themselves enough to leave. Respect is also part of love. So. If he or she cannot respect you they certainly cannot live you.

Of course a man is going to say that if he hits a woman, to make himself look better. Remember there are always two sides to the story.
I dont personally like Mark. But, Ive heard the other side of the story and Id think he would still be in jail if it were all true. Or at least being prosecuted.

I believe the story that she was beating on him all the way home. Under those circumstances I wouldn't hold it against any man to give a woman a little love tap to get her off him. Sometimes a woman needs put back in her place.
I heard the same thing and agree

I didn't realize Amy and Mark were divorced. I bet they're both remarried within the year.

The police will do something as long as the battered person makes the attempt to do something themselves. I know first hand. Over 20 years ago my ex husband hit me several times in one night then made sure I could not use the phone. He fell asleep eventually and I called the police. He was arrested and I filed charges. The officer took me to a shelter. He came back three days later and personally gave me money, drove me to a bus station, and sent me out of state to family. I filed for divorce, got sole custody of my child, and never looked back. I do not want to hear that the law does not help. They can only do so much, but the victim needs to do their part and get out, period! That officer helped me save my life and I still think about what that officer did for me and my child.

You're right. Women do it as well. That is why I always refer to them as abusers and not just men. It may be more common with men, but we need to realize women can be abusive physically and mentally as well. I do not know this Nathan person, but I hope he has them all arrested!

My mother left my father because he was abusivem she filled charges and he was found guilty. He was also a known drinker. He had a dwi. Anyway he got custodody of me even though my mom took him to court for custody. So as a result I was raised by an abusive drunk dad. Fuck you Randolph co court system, u ruined my life.

I think everyone is avoiding and skirtin around the real reason for the problems like the ones mentioned here. If women would listen to their men and do what he tells her to do the first time, he wouldn't have to be "tuning" her up and "tellin" her twice like that to start with! Lol

Women around here promise a man they are faithful, he goes to work somewhere off, pays for everything while she grows fat and eats pills, smokes weed and meth. Gets thin, fu** s around. Husband comes home to find her suckin a **** for some dope and all the bills unpaid, kicks her sorry ass out after she tries to beat his ass, pushes her down, she screams abuse......Pretty much why they are beat, nothing but filthy hoes

"Tuning" her up has consequences. Someone mentioned in this thread better be saying a prayer tonight. Beating a woman won't seem as cool from behind bars.
