The city needs to start enforcing the leash law on dogs/cats in this town, if they start giving out fines maybe people will get the message, keep your pets at home where they belong. People who can't/wont keep their pets at home do not need them, we keep our pets at home, they are not running the streets destroying other peoples property. We love animals but that does not mean that we want other peoples pets using our yard for a bathroom and destroying what we paid good money for..

If they were crapping in your yard and destroying your property yow would feel differently, you are probably one of the sorry, irresponsible pet owners who let their pets run loose.

We want our yard to look nice, we keep it mowed and trimmed all the time. We bought flowers and planted in our front yard and are freakin sick of the dogs urinating on them and the cats digging them up. It does no good to call animal control, we have tried that numerous times. We have dogs, they have a fenced in back yard, they are not allowed in the front yard, we do not have a cat, when we had a cat she was in the house where she belonged, she was not running the streets destroying other peoples property. If you have pets and can't/wont keep them at home where they belong you need to find them a good home where they will be taken care of. This is our property, why should we have to put up with other peoples pets? I guess we will have to start taking them out to the pound.

You could build a fence for your front yard. Then you wouldn't have to see everyone you think you're better than. Ya know since everyone's so sorry. Call the dang pound and stfu. This is like the 30th thing on numerous websites that I've seen this. If you didn't put your effort in bitchin' about it on the internet and took any of the actions you keep talking about you would be able to move on to something else to complain about.

Why should she put a fence in her front yard? There is a leash law for dogs and cats in this town and it needs to be enforced, we have the same problem and it does no good to call the pound, they don't answer the phone or call anyone back. People need to keep their pets at home where they belong,if they can't do that then they should not have pets.

Mix black pepper or red pepper flakes in the soil when you plant flowers. The animals will stop digging when the eyes begin to sting. It won't poison them or harm your children. Just stops the digging in unwanted areas

How does someone not wanting other peoples animals destroying their property mean they think they are better than anyone else? We have also tried calling the pound about other peoples cats and dogs and got no where with that.

It is against the law to allow your pets to roam, they are supposed to be at home where they belong, and the city should start handing out fines.

This may be off topic, but the main reason to keep your pets at home shouldn't be destruction of property but the pets safety. too many of your pets is getting killed on the road and that alone should make you keep your pets safe and not destroying others property. Think of your pet first or don't have one

If you read how quick she is to talk bad about people and make assumptions about their lifestyles and their PARENTING because their animal gets loose you'd see why I was being a smartass. No, no one should have to build a damn fence in their front yard. This same thing has been posted on different sights and she is rude. Saying people who's animals get loose have wild children they don't take care of blah dee blah dee blah. I understand not wanting others animals in your yard but my gosh don't act like they are lower on the food chain because their dog has taken a shit in your yard. Maybe it's an elderly couples animal that they lost or whatever. Your dog running off doesn't automatically make you a piece of crap and posting it all over griping about it doesn't keep them out of your yard. The only person that has even made a legitimate remark is the lady about the pepper around the flowers. If no one is going to do something shut up and figure out a way to solve the problem without killing or hurting the animals.

animals weren't meant to be kept in the house and they don't understand they aren't suppose to wander the earth like they were intended. My dog has gotten loose and sometimes I just have to wait for him to come back because there is no catching him. He wants to run. I guess that makes me a bad parent and a worthless pet owner, too.

Dogs and cats are domesticated animals they are not meant to wander the earth, they are supposed to be at home, nobody said to keep a dog inside all the time, put them in a fenced in yard,it is impossible to keep a cat behind a fence unless you have a top on it. There are too many bad things that happen to wandering pets and people get sick of having to deal with other peoples animals. Responsible owners keep their pets at home where they belong, you are not even supposed to have your dog in your yard if he/she is not contained or on a leash with an adult on the other end. People who can't/wont keep their pets at home should not have them in the first place, your pet is your responsibility not anyone elses.

I have never said anything about anyones life style or parenting skills, I am not talking about animals that get loose once in a while, I am talking about animals that are constantly roaming the streets, these cats do not belong to anyone, they hang around our neighborhood and breed and destroy property. They have not had any shots or de-worming. The neighbors son caught 12 of them in a live trap, there is still 5 or 6 here, 2 of them look pregnant . The dogs do not get loose, they are turned loose by their owner to run, they need to be walked on a leash. We love animals and would never hurt one of them. Animal control is pretty much useless around here, calling them is a waste of time.

We have a neighbor who will let his big dog out and stand there and watch him crap in someones yard, that is so disgusting and irresponsible. I have even seen people walking their dogs on a leash and let the dogs go crap in someone's yard, they don't even offer to clean it up. I agree that the city should start handing out citations to these sorry ass pet owners.
