No...but I would like the freedom to walk around the mall carrying a concealed weapon without the threat of jail time if I don't have a permit THAT I MUST PAY FOR, even though the Bill of Rights gives me the right to carry one and doesn't say I need to give the government money to do so.

I don't want the right to camp on someone's private homestead, which is what the White House is. But camping in a National Forest (in a tent or a pop up if I choose to) would be nice, even if bears live there too.

How did you come up with purchasing child porn on the internet, defecating in the street, or driving in reverse on the highway, out of my post?

One can only conclude those are things you think of on a daily basis. Otherwise, why would you mention it?

Do you really feel you need laws, procedures, rules and regulations, made up by people you don't even know and probably don't even like or support, in order to live your life?

Your new compueter has spell check? Great. That's a wonderful feature.

I'm worried now. Why are you giving things away? I hope you aren't planning on "checking out" any time soon. I would miss you..... believe it or not.

I will address your last point first. Because those things sound really silly just like ALL the things you mentioned were freedoms taken away from you. There is nowhere I go without a gun in my pocket. I have never had any problems camping on any National Forest. Do you get your groceries for free, your insurance, your clothes, your gas, your camping gear, your dog food, any of that stuff for free? Why do you not bitch about everything you have to pay for? Shouldn't everything be free in liberal land? You have the right to bear arms, now bear them. It doesn't say you have the right to bear FREE ARMS, FREE AMMO, FREE CLEANING RODS, or anything else FREE concerning Arms. Do you live in the United States? You seem to have many issues wherever it is you live. Maybe a change of scenery will do you some good. People out in these parts of the woods don't have the foggiest idea what it is you foreigners have to go through. Move to the United States and that should cure your ill..

It's called a Republic lady. You ever read the Constitution and Bill of Rights. You elect people to represent you. If you don't like what they do than get them out of office. I have no problems living my life here in the United States. I can walk around town including the mall and Wal Mart with a gun strapped to my hip for all to see or one concealed in my pocket without anybody saying a word! I know liberals don't believe rules are meant for them that they are meant for everybody else but that is not reality. Honestly I would move to the United States if I was you..

LMAO! Lady name one thing I do that is against the law? I live in the United States, I follow the laws of the United States. I have no issues or problems with anybody here in the United States when it comes to the law or the way I live. You should really get you a visa and at least visit our country for yourself..

The Children can use it now. Why should they have to wait until I die before they receive their inheritance? The kids are getting old themselves We had them when we where in our teens & twenties. Also we are not wanting to subject the children & grandchildren to the family fights and legal problems that seem to occur during probate. So we deeded the property to the kids free and clear no strings attached. We have kept a life estate on a few acres where we now live. Im planning to start drawing from the social security Ponzi scheme in Jan of 2014. Ive hauled all the scrap from the place away. sold all the meat sheep. sold most of the cattle. Gave away the horse. Sold most of my equiptment. We took that money and built a new house that is set up for older folks. If there ever comes a time that we are confined to a wheelchair or something this new place has the ramps already in place. not a step in the whole place. the bathroom has the grab bars and proper shower ect. A garage is build right on to it with a automatic door. just drive right in. We are being realistic and know old age and its rigors are fast catching up to us. it wont be long before we will need adult diapers. Im not going to be one of those old geezers you see with the pee stains on the front of their pants. I enjoy the challenge of a change its a new chapter in the adventure of life.

You might get away with open carry where you live. However in most places in the USA you would be arrested Go ahead try and open carry in Little Rock Ar.. You Probably will get sent for mental evaluation. I conceal carry. I never got a permit. I simply don't feel I need a permit for a god given right. If I believe a law is uncounstitional I simply ignore it. and refuse to comply. for example the health care. Now in our Republic It,s supposed to be that the inalienable & god Given counstitional rights of the few cannott be infringed upon by the wishes of the many even if the few is just one person and the many is everyone else. That's where The problem with the notion of (you elect people to represent you) First and foremost those elected people should Uphold the Counstition & bill of Rights. If It doesnt pass counstitional muster then it should never make it out of committee. Howener Those who are elected just willy nilly Pass any feel good, knee jerk, polticall correct or popular entitlement legislation that their counstituents ask for. The Voting of money and goods from the pubic coffers is what gets them elected and keeps them in office. They are doing the popular democracy thing. The democracy is mob rule. No I never made that statement. I stated Im old enough to draw but haven't bothered to sign up. You could only earm $14,000 and I sometimes made that much in a month. This year I will pay icome tax and social security self employment tax of about $80,000. Im going to sigh up after Jan.2014. If we have any self employment income It will be My wife who claims it. I hope to at least get what I paid into the Ponzi scheme. I haven't heard anything about a open carry bill in Arkansas. Im shure if there is one you still gotta have a license. Im not going to get a license for a god given right.

Is it legal to “Open Carry” a handgun in the state of Arkansas? Well, it depends on whom you ask. Officers, lawyers, prosecutors all have different opinions of a ratified Arkansas law concerning handguns.

Arkansas House Bill 1700, which became Act 746 and went into effect August 16, 2013, makes technical corrections to laws concerning the possession of a handgun. The purpose of the bill was originally to define what a “journey” is, as the original law says that is legal to carry a firearm if on a journey, but it didn’t define what a “journey” is. The current law specifies that a “journey” is when one travels outside their county. However, supporters of the right to open carry in Arkansas believe this means they can open carry, or even conceal carry, without a permit as long as they can legally own a handgun.

The Bill, sponsored by Representative Denny Altes (R) states in Section 2,(a)“A person commits the offense of carrying a weapon if he or she possesses a handgun, knife, or club on or about his or her person, in a vehicle occupied by him or her, or otherwise readily available for use with a purpose to attempt to unlawfully employ the handgun, knife, or club as a weapon against a person.” Section 2 (b) clarifies that a “Journey” means traveling outside the county in which a person lives.

Though gun supporters believe that this means they can open or conceal carry when traveling away from home, Arkansas Attorney General Dustin McDaniel, a Democrat, says that this corrected law does NOT allow open carry, stating,“I do not interpret Act 746 as authorizing so-called ‘open carry.’” This, however, has not stopped Open Carry supporters from carrying open, as they did in a small parade in Fort Smith on August 24th. No one was arrested at this event; the Fort Smith Police Chief Kevin Lindsey even emailed his officers stating that the Fort Smith city prosecutor advised him that open carry was not a violation of the law unless there was an unlawful attempt to use a weapon.

As of now, no one is really sure what would happen if an officer, in any Arkansas city, decided to arrest a person for open carry. People on both sides of the issue have stated their “opinions” of the law, but until it gets taken to court by a person being charged with open carry and a judge makes a decision, the legality of open carry is simply up to the opinion of prosecutors and officers all over the state.

Ok Warrior I dare you come be the guinea pig. Come and Open carry in a Mall in Little Rock Ar. The group In fort smith was a staged event. They announced ahead of time and had within their group a lawyer. A lone person would be likely have been arrested. The Fort Smith prosecutor likely didn't want the trouble and work that would ensue if a arrest has been made. He probably told the police chief think of the paper work.

I only open carry when I am in the mountains camping, hunting or fishing with like minded people. I carry concealed everywhere else I go including church. I do not want anybody to know I have a gun on me. The element of surprise could come in handy that way. I do not have a concealed carry permit because I do not need one. It's a perk of the career I retired from.

Hey Curm, it was not meant as a criticism, just letting you know it did not work. The concealed carry license is expensive, and just a registry that law enforcement can refer to.
I like the old saying,"Better to be tried by twelve, than carried by six."
In rural areas you will see rifles in the back windows of pickup trucks.
During hunting season, there is some serious firepower on the roads.
The man that was dragged from his van and beaten by the group of motorcyclists sure could of used a firearm. Lol

I agree with you. I carry a .223 Bushmaster under the seat of my pick-up and have 6, 30 round clips on stand-by. I carry a little Ruger .380 in my front pocket. If I was blocked in, as soon as that guy broke my window with his helmet I would have shot him right in the face with that little pistol then I would have exited my vehicle with that rifle and politely asked the rest if they wanted some of this!
