As for the doctor you like, you might not be able to keep him or her, either.[Murmurs.] If you have to change your plan, your doctor may not be in the network. And to try to keep costs down, the networks in the exchanges are really narrow. By the way, top hospitals probably arenít going to accept a lot of plans from the exchanges, either.
Some of my friends on my side of the aisle try to minimize all this. They say that the bill has a grandfather clause. Wait until you see the regulations we write on that one ó there will barely be a grandfather clause left. They say that only the 5 percent of people who get their insurance through the individual market will lose their plans. But thatís still millions of people.
Now, I can hear some of you right now saying that universal coverage is worth it.[Yeah.] But letís be careful about that. The respected Congressional Budget Office says under my plan tens of millions of people will still be uninsured in 2020.
So thatís why I wanted to come here today, St. Paul. I wanted to tell you the hard truths. I know you can handle them.[Isolated clapping.] I know you will still support my plan, which, admittedly, is a little complicated. But we put a man on the moon! Thereís no way weíre going to mess up a health-care law. Not on my watch.
Thank you, St. Paul.

Back in the unenlightened dark ages of the 30's; we kids could hardly wait for the Railway Express Truck to deliver our giant box of fireworks that lasted all night and cost no more than 10 dollars.

I am sure that Obama will soon appoint a Fireworks General to protect us; who will then hire neighborhood Fireworks Navigators, to supervise what we do and checks our insurance, homes, sex lives and voting records.

I am sure Michelle has many college pals who could use these jobs at say $200,000.00 a year with benefits.

That's what bothers me the most. I voted Obama in his first election because I believed what he said. I couldn't give a shit about his skin color, I believed his message. During his reelect I was disappointed that he was reelected simply because of his skin color.....The leader that had our credit rating lowered, that had 3rd world countries laugh and mock us and no longer fear us. The leader that for the first time in history put us in second place to russia..... Because he is Obama, he is black, he is gonna give us free shit. I have never in my life been racist. My best friend growing up was black. What bothers me the most, this is the leader of the most powerful country in the world. I am blonde haired blue eyed certified white dude.. I voted for this man to run the most powerful county in the world because I believed his message. MOST, and I have to say that because some actually voted for his ideals. They voted for him, because of the color of his skin. I don't give a shit about socialism whatever that shit he is black and gonna give me free shit. Sorry I start drinking and I get to rambling. I don't give a shit what color you are, just man up and give the usa back its balls

Yep! It was a scrambled crazy mess! Kids are often the culprit of rushed distractions, for sure!!
The gloves have been off this week, due to an unexpected death in the family, causing perspective to change on a dime.
Yesterday, for the first time in several days, I considered checking on you, Barney, to see if some miracle had occurred and the fog had been lifted...but changed my mind. I even toyed with the notion of never ever reading this thread again.
However, some sort of sick curiosity got the best of me, and here I am.
Your above post is the first one I've read, and must say, you were much more gracious than I expected, considering my botched words!
Now, I think I'll try to catch up, but I have a feeling the fog will continue to be dense and heavy...
I also have a feeling, a feeling that you are correct that
any change in my political philosophy is not imminent.

I offer sincere condolences for the loss of your family member and may you find strength and comfort in this time of sorrow.

Obama is a LIAR period.

Last week a major story broke about Sean Hannity interviewing three couples who claimed to have been harmed by the Affordable Care Act (aka ObamaCare). However, an aide to the former governor of Montana contacted these alleged victims and published his account on Salon.com . What he discovered was that not a single one of them had even bothered to look at the insurance exchange to ascertain whether or not they would be helped or harmed. The entire episode of Hannityís program was a lie.

DC-THE DAILY CALLER

It is was on this basis that The DC concluded that ObamaCare has failed. But their own numbers tell a different story. The DC cites an analysis by Millward Brown Digital, a private marketing firm, who estimate that 36,000 people enrolled in a new health care plan on the federal exchange in the first week. And according to an article in The Atlantic, an additional 115,000 enrolled via the the state exchanges. Thatís about 150,000 enrollees in the first week, despite the software glitches. Extrapolate that number out for 50 more weeks, or one full year, and you get 7.5 million. The Department of Health and Human Services estimated that they would enroll seven million people the first year. Therefore, these numbers suggest that they will exceed their estimates.
Seriously folks' you can't make this stuff up.

Let's clarify your claim.

http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-505267_162-576092...

I'll go ahead and do the math for you. 87% of 35,000 is 30,450 leaving only 4,550 that actually got a plan they will be paying for. At this rate of paying customers, it will take almost 32 years to reach 7.5 million. Why is that you ask? The 30,450 that signed up, signed up for Medicaid which costs them $0. So, in reality, all that happened is Obamacare caused an already ailing healthcare system to be further burdened by 30,450 new enrollees that will pay nothing into the system. So the final breakdown shows that it will take almost 32 years to get enough paying customers to support this bill but we will have 7.5 million new potential patients that contribute nothing in just under 5 years. A very predictable outcome to all those who understand the implications of such a terrible bill as Obamacare. To those who live in the fantasy world known as progressive liberalism, it will be very confusing as to how people can adjust their lives in such a manner when their income, that allows them to survive, is threatened and not be willing to sacrifice for "the greater good".
Sorry Barney, but your boy Obama's ambition and greed for power and glory may have finally been to for the country to sustain. Only time will tell.

getting facts from an obama fanboy news org, yeaaa okies.... How about this. The majority of people who signed up are made up of the 65+ crowd and going directly into medicare, I believe the last quote I saw was around 65-70%. While the younger people, upon whom this plan relies on to actually work, are avoiding it like the plague. ObamaCare (aka I know whats better for you than you do) will self implode. Facts I took the time myself to research from the HHS, instead of being spoon-fed 'facts' from a non-bipartisan news org and believing everything they say.

There were businesses that got a year exclusion. What is going to happen when the year is up and those employee's premiums rise?
Do you agree that government employees should be excluded?

<quoted text>Have you been able to sign up to Obama Care yet?
Sure did , have you not read about my story?

61-year-old lifelong Republican, Butch Matthews, who was heavily skeptical of the Affordable Care Act when it first passed. A former small business owner in Little Rock, Arkansas, Matthews used to get up every morning before dawn to deliver canned beverages to retailers before he retired three years ago. Medical care is his familyís biggest expense, since his home and vehicle are paid for. So he was pleased to discover his local Blue Cross Blue Shield would cover him under Arkansasí Obamacare marketplace for less money than he had been paying, and with more benefits.

The point is that you can never find a non biased source to support your position.
