You are the idiot to assume that I meant the only way to replace a tree that acts as a post is to wait 50 years for another tree like it to grow! LOL.
I'll spell it out a little more clearly for you, okay? Attach the damn fence to a different tree, or a post or build some other strong structure. To assume that tree will stand there forever just because you kill a beaver is idiotic. I guess AR doesn't get strong winds that could easily take down a large tree along a river.
WHOAA, wait a minute sister, yesterday you didn't call people names but today is apparently different. Look at you! LMAO! LOL!LOL!LOL!

The current administration released a bunch of dangerous criminal illegals in AZ. The local sheriff sent a letter to Secretary Napolitano asking for an investigation. The release of those criminals was done with no communication to the sheriffs dept in that town ahead of time. Anyone in congress from either house could call for an investigation. Will there be one? The silence is deafening.

<quoted text> a guy was having problems with beaver damming up a stream. At great expence they would dynamite the dam and the beavers would built right back. So I took my 690 JD excavator (track hoe) over there. It has a hydraluc thumb and we took apart the dam stacked the sticks and logs alomg the bank. then I dug all the dirt, gravel and sloop out of the creek bottom and slung it along the bank. We cleaned it out for a 1/8 mile clear to the bedrock. there wasnt anything left to anchor the dam to and the beaver left. It made me a nice payday and the owner was delighted.
There's a beaver dam in our river up north. I'll be delighted when I finally see get to see and photograph the beaver swimming around up there.

It's far from hypothetical. Beavers were in alot of trouble until recently.
http://www.ncwildlife.org/Learning/Species/Ma...
There is one species of the beaver in North America and beavers are distributed statewide in North Carolina.
Beavers provide many positive benefits to people; their ponds help control erosion and sedimentation, recharge groundwater resources and provides valuable habitat for waterfowl, herons and other wetland wildlife.
But the beaverís dams can also cause flooding in agricultural fields and residential areas. They can also destroy timber by chewing on or felling trees.
The best way to prevent conflicts with beavers is to manage their population by letting licensed trappers remove them during the regulated trapping season (November 1 through March 31 statewide), when they can be used as a renewable natural resource because its pelt, meat and castor oil are highly valued.
The beavers were in trouble because people were trapping them mainly for their pelt. That is the same as the example I used about the whales. In other words, I agree with you on that point. We have a responsiblity to hunt animals on this planet responsibly and that killing animals to harvest them isn't a bad thing. I was simply saying that beavers were not endangered of becoming extinct because people were killing them just to be killing them.

Here is your budget, Republican style.

WASHINGTON -- A new short-term budget bill introduced on Monday by House Republicans includes a bizarre provision banning federal funding to anti-poverty group ACORN, despite the fact that the group has already been stripped of federal funding -- and has been defunct for nearly three years.

The federal government will shut down if a continuing resolution, or C.R., is not approved by March 27.

Rogers' bill also explicitly bars the use of the funds it appropriates for computer networks that do not block the viewing and exchange of pornography. It further bans the transportation of detainees from Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, to facilities in the United States, even though the Obama administration has not transferred any detainees from Guantanamo since 2009 and has announced no plans to do so.

So he has to go to other statess to hunt. States where the people who live there year around have to do whatever they have to do to control predator populations. Like shoot coyotes so your husband has some elk to shoot.

You are right but do you think Obama will just comply? No, he will do what he has always done. Create a distraction and give it an insane amount of attention until his uninformed voters cause a stir that needs to be addressed by the media. All the while shifting the focus to a major issue like jobs or the debt ceiling forcing republicans to take up the fight for several months leaving the illegal immigrant issue alone. In the process, the republicans will argue their equally pathetic solution for whatever major issue Obama has shifted to. By the time that fight is over, the public has lost interest in the illegal immigrants and any republican that brings it up ends up looking like some grumpy old fart that came to the party after it's over. All this happens as Ameirca continues to move farther away from the greatness and freedom we never had to lose in the first place.

"And that's what is happening you have no right to call me brainwashed."
Likewise, you had NO RIGHT to tell me "You actually believe everything obama says. I don't know what planet you are on but here on earth some of us, actually see things as they are," when I, Sir, am the one who see things EXACTLY as they are. Then you go on to say this:

"And obama is ruining what was a wonderful nation where freedom ruled."
The FACT is it started long BEFORE Obama. I don't defend him, I only speak the truth. Did you ever ask what happened to freedom under Bush? I am honest enough to admit he took our freedoms too!

Did you see Newt Gingrich chastizing Ron Paul for not wanting to take even more of our freedoms during one of the debates? That's when Newt lost my support too. Then you say:

"Call your congressman, if this woman is approved your electric bill will triple."

Here's the way things are. Calling our congressmen will do NOTHING to stop it. They don't care! They look after their own and their own reelection prospects. That is a FACT! They could have stopped Obamacare. They didn't. They could have drilled in Alaska years ago. They didn't. Nobody in Congress cares if we can't afford gas. Our little inconveniences has no effect on "them." Now they won't stop gun control either.

They will turn most of us into criminals, so they can start using those fema camps. BTW, my electric bill has already tripled in the past three years.

You also said,
"How dare you call me brainwashed."

The fact is I didn't call YOU braiwashed, per se. I said both sides are brainwashed.

Here's a fact for you, I too "am an american not republican or democrat and am a conservative, not liberal. I am not for any of them."
I prove this in my non-defense of EITHER side, unless they deserve to be defended. And as a true conservative, I don't see conservatism in the republican party any more than I do in the democratic party.

THAT is the reason they keep losing elections, BTW.

Is there no intellectual honesty anymore? Even among so-called conservatives, which you apparently are not? It should have been obvious to you that I only used that word in response to Churm using it against me FIRST?

As often as I disagree with him on animal killing issues, I still defend him when something is said unjustly against or about him. I will do that with ANYONE falsely accused of something.

Had you been intellectually honest, like me, and like a true conservative, you would have called him out for calling me an idiot first when that name was not warranted by my post. But NOOOOOOOO...... you gleefully jump all over me at the first opportuniuty.....

<quoted text> and your full of shit. You cant find a single post where I stated I tresspass. And yep raptor is correct in my younger days I distilled well head gas that wasnt mine. When it was freezing cold I would put out the flame on a oil well. Then hook a long garden hose to that outlet the gas would condense in the hose and fill a 55 gal barrell. My thinking was it was just being wasted by the oil company. they didnt want it nothing wrong with me getting it. It was wrong and I shouldnt have been a gas thief. I knew better and didnt really have a valid excuse. As high a gas is getting its tempting to do it again. Man I just hate to see those flames burning and all that gas being wasted. And its contributing to glowbull warming LOL.
I put that trespassing question out for you Curmudgeon because you were Arguing about people trespassing on YOUR land.
It was meant as a joke.
I have had beavers on my land and also sometimes a hog.
The beavers are a small problem and in the past USDA aphis trappers would take care of them. The hogs do more damage in one week than a family of beavers would do in several months.I never thought about eating one or a wild hog that is full of parasites and pseudo rabies virus.
I don't like to kill animals just for the heck of it, but if they are damaging the land then that is something I have to do. I shot a hog last year with a moslin-nagant rifle and he dropped dead in his tracks. I used the military surplus rounds that force you to clean the gun soon after you use it or the barrel will get corroded. Its much cheaper to shot than a 7mm mag and does as good a job on anything up to 300 yards.
