I agree. Voting is a waste of time. But it is only a waste of time because the majority of the people have been dumbed down by the government through the media and the educational system. They vote for who they are told to vote for, they repeat the finest talking points by their respective party, and they aren't open-minded enough to really look at themselves and their true beliefs. Many people vote against their beliefs anyway because they fall for fear tactics or just because they are told to.
I likely may never vote again either. Maybe I'll go strictly libertarian or Rand Paul if he runs. The voting machines are all rigged anyway. That's why they pushed the electronic voting machines on the public. Bush vs. Gore was no coincidence. A close election was just what they needed to get the population to support rigged elections.
You have the right not to vote. You also have the right to pay for all the freebies all the takers receive because you don't vote.

<quoted text>Hagel is an idiot. During the confirmation process the guy looked like Obama did in his first debate against Romney. It doesn't matter anymore because it is now official that half of the voting population of this country is stupid!
Hagel volunteered to join the United States Army during the Vietnam War veteran, returning a draft board recommendation he go to college instead. He served in the United States Army infantry in Vietnam from 1967 to 1968. Holding the rank of Sergeant (E-5), he served as an infantry squad leader in the 9th Infantry Division Hagel served in the same infantry squad as his younger brother Tom, and they are believed to be the only American siblings to do so during the Vietnam War They also ended up saving each other's lives on separate occasions. While serving during the war, he received the Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry, two Purple Hearts, the Army Commendation Medal, and the Combat Infantryman Badge.

OH yeah, he is a Republican also.

Folks voting or not voting doesnt make any difference in the freebies. Ive voted in every election since I was old enough to vote. the exception was I missed a few school elections. Ive always voted against any taxes. However all politicians are paid from the public coffers so they pander to the so called freebie vote. The must bring home the freebie pork to their constituents in order to be elected & reelected. We just did our taxes. Im calling it quits. I was trying to make my first million. I can see that the future outlook for prosperity is dismal. So Ill not produce after this year. In going to start drawing social security after this year. Where going to slowly liquidate our assetts. My wife will pay social security & income taxes on the liquidation. Im going to turn lots of it into guns & ammo, tools, silver & gold coin, booze ect.. Things that will have value in a black market & barter economy. Pretty soon the parasite goverment will be paying us much more in social security than we give them in taxes. Stick a fork in me im done.

Not more than Ive paid in. It will take a couple of decades to recoup all the tax dollars Ive paid the goverment over the last five decades.but im fixing to try and make shure that after this year Ill recieve more from the goverment coffers than I contribute. Im 66 years old and have always paid income & social security self employment taxes. Ive never recieved a tax refund or Earned income credit check. I dont consider recieving the social security that I paid into for 50 years a freebie. for 50 years Ive paid into the social security Ponzi scheme. If I can just recoup what I paid in ill be satisfied. Why should I continue to work & be productive when too much of the fruits of my labors are Robbed(taxed) away from me? Then the amount im allowed to keep has to unfairly compete against the very money Robbed(taxed) away at the grocery store and other places ect. Just got the electric bill. The service availibility charge was $17 now its $17.50 that 50 cents is taxed also. I have a meter on outlying a barn. That bill is $18.75 and not one bit of elctric was used last month at that location. Its fixing to be turned off. Ill just carry a generator over there if I need electric.

Have you seen the price of gas lately? They will make sure you pay somehow, someway. There are no alternatives anymore, other than breaking the law. I guess this wind energy thing isn't turning out to be a viable alternative either. It's expensive and it kills birds.

Its possible to operate a vehicle or any 4 cycle engine on firewood - dried horse manure- charcoal ect. The germans did it in WWII. Its called gassification. I bought a set of plans to build one fron the Mother Earth News magazine. Ive collected all of the parts (junk water heaters -pipe- stainless steel ect . to build one. Ive got a fully equipped shop with welders torches ect. I can build one without spending a nickle. I was thinking of installing one on a antique M farmall tractor. And build a cab with heat & air conditioning. No insurance needed and no alternative fuel tax required. If someone wanted to live off the commercial electric grid they would need a combination of wind, solar, and water power. and maybe a backup generator powered by a wood gassifer. A savonus Rotor windmill can be cheaply built from three 55 gallon barrells. it will turn with very little wind and doesnt require a govenor. I would really enjoy it if I could someday tell the electric coop to take a flying leap.

Showing your ignorance as usual. This planet has resources capable of sustaining 3-4 billion people long term, there are now 7.

It's dumbazzes like you, who don't have a frickin' clue, that will ignore fact and merrily march to the destruction of this planet.

Not that I care that much anymore given my age and the age of my children, but future generations probably will.

So would I. I have to pay $230 every year just to keep the electric turned on at my vacant property up north. I've never even used it. I can't have them shut it off or I won't be able to get it turned back on unless I build a house. I need it to stay on as a selling feature in case I decide to sell it. It's also a huge hunting area and someone may want to plug in a camper.

It's been said that Obama took 100% of the vote in some counties. Just spew by the right-wing media? I don't know. But if it's true that means voting no longer counts in this country. Because it is IMPOSSIBLE for ANY candidate to take 100% of the vote ANYWHERE. Going to the polls just wastes gas and time. Screw it.

<quoted text>We don't need a new "party." There are plenty of parties already. What we need is to change the American mindset. That is one of entitlements, envy, jealousy and wanting to controlling others. People need to read the Constitution and the Bill of Rights and hold their elected officials to the oath they take to protect and defend it. Freedom is letting people decide for themselves what their own pursuit of happiness is, as long as it doesn't interfere with another individuals' rights. The parties we currently have need to get back to the basics of what our founders laid out for us. If not, vote them out of office.
Well I agree with you that the constitution should be upheld. How does this mess we've got get turned around and we get back to the basics? We all can see what our Democratic leader has gotten us. Republicans are in name only. Something's going to give somewhere.

There isnt any tangible real difference between the democrats & republicans. bush was terrible Obama is horrible. Its a myth that one party or cantidate is one little bit better than their opponet. The UN -NWO and agenda 21 folks pick the cantidates from both partys. and they rig the elections.
