Another revenue stream to keep mgt paid. You can't throw money to people who don't know how to appropriate the funds!

Federal and state government has been doing exactly that for so long that you can't really blame the local morons for trying it too.... Only in America can you find security and reward in failure!

People need to go online and read all the Audits for County and City in past 10 years. You will see warnings and prompts to comply with state and Federal Laws, You will see that in some instances we are not following the same Standards as other citys and countys, around here our elected officials follow their own laws, the kind that Federal Judges eventually tell the Entity to stop. It just takes Individual Citizens to get involved and People are, Im hopeful to see a better Election process and more people watching what our City Council and Quorum Court members are passing, via ordinances, we need to be involved and watch what man made laws they are passing under our noses. Then you will stop some of the Bleeding of our hard earned money, we will look like Detroit soon

Don't think that people haven't been involved. For example, read up on the ambulance ordinance issue. You will see how the city council uses its power to go against the people, and even do an end run around election results. It might be best to just let them self destruct.

I heard they all got pay raises last year. And they wouldn't show the payroll to the city council!

They showed all hospital employees salaries to the city council and QC member Keith Sutton during a meeting and each had to return the information back to Luther Lewis and Terry Dickson.

I wont vote for it. Hang on and you will also get to vote for another tax for the jail. 9.75 current+.5=10.25+ .5 or 1.0=10.75 to11.25. Sell the damn thing the city or county has no business trying to run a hospital. Get rid of Mr. Luther

And all the right hand folks he's employed. Seems they've all covered each other's asses in order to keep there high salaries coming!

This issue with the hospital should be a wake up call for the citizens of Pocahontas and Randolph county.Enough is enough! It is so sad that the people who run this community are constantly demanding more money from the citizens of this community, while at the same time laughing and making fun of the people that support this town. Maybe the citizens need to demand an accounting of what has happened at FRMC under not only the current CEO, but the one he replaced.

If we are now facing a vote for a hospital tax, and possibly a jail tax, can the swimming pool tax be repealed? I think the other two are more important....
