yes, guest is an ass that doesn't like the idea of forking over about 20 million over the next two decades for a pretty little water park. City leaders in Pocahontas have a way of handling business that is often to the detriment of the entire county. For example, the pool vote was ""arranged" for a date known to discourage turnout, thereby increasing chances of its passage. There are many people not happy with the methods used by the Pocahontas city council.

I thought they cancelled the water park. The tax has been suspended since a month after the vote.

Misty you really are a dummass to tell a story like that...
there are about 6500 taxpayers in Pocahontas.... there were around 500 votes in favor of the pool. so tell me how that is a majority of taxpayers? And, this doesn't even count the about 17000 taxpayers in Randolph county. I'll tell you this, a few years down the road, everyone will wonder how the hell this happened.

That pool won't seem so important after it gets polluted by the massive infestation of cholera-laden illegal Mexi-coons headed this way. When the school system and hospital are overcrowded and overloaded with non-English speaking taco snappers, with their predisposition to crime and third world diseases, and your precious little 14 y.o. princess brings home some greasy brown gang-banger with a 2 term prison record to tell you she's pregnant, you're going to have a lot more to worry about than Joe Griders silly-ass cement pond.

YOU are one of the main reasons Pocahontas has the reputation of ignorance. The vote was NOT rigged!!! This town needs to grow and prosper!!! What is the big deal in Pocahontas getting a water park that would benefit the handicapped, elderly, and kids? We have all 3 of those in our town just the same as Jonesboro and Paragould!!! Ppl bitch about this town having nothing and then bitch when its trying to be made better!!! Ignorance is def bliss here!!! Im sure all u haters will be checking ut out when its done tbo!!!

Will your christianity force you to publicly admit the first statement you wrote is false? Now that you have made a second statement that is true, has your conscience been eased? Is it right that you can make a false statement, then simply follow up with a true statement? Is this the way christianity works? Your lies are OK, as long as you caught, then repent?

They would not let people who live in the county vote, they will be paying for it any time they buy anything in Pocahontas though. It is a huge waste of money.

The water park in Paragould loses money every year, it will be the same here, only the people with money will be able to afford to take their families to it, in order to have physical therapy at the water park the city will have to hire licensed physical therapists, I really don't see that happening, it is a huge waste of money and a stupid idea.
