I did not know this young man personally but I have a few questions. Did no one see, hear anything going on when this persons live was taken? It was the middle of downtown - no suspects?? No person of interest? Did this guy live in this apartment place himself or do others live in the same place? I am very close to where this occurred and I don't like the fact that someone took a life and is just free walking around on the streets?? How is the investigation going? Fingerprints? weapon? How was he killed? Does not matter about the person, it does matter that someone took a human life and what??? no answers? no leads? Nothing? This is a small town, what are the detectives doing or the FBI, Police etc to find out who done this to this person? Why hasn't anyone came out and given any answers to the investigation or anything? Is it ok to now take the life of another human being just because he was a doper or whatever and someone not be responsible for that? I am sure he has a family somewhere?? and if so, I am sure they would love to know who took the life of their loved one. I'm assuming it's a homicide because they said it wasn't suicide and it wasn't natural causes so ???????? Anyone have any answers at all or will this just end up being swept under the rug as if it never happened???

what about the down town live video on the court square? do any of the other business have cameras?

Don't know about any cameras, this is kind of diagonal from a lawyers office, not sure if his office has one or not or even the auto mechanic place there across from it. I'm thinking there must not be too many cameras in the down town area because the ones who sprayed graffiti on the walls of some of the businesses downtown would have gotten caught. Well hopefully there will be answers sooner or later, preferably sooner :)

Her job does not drug test her and even if she is being tested meth stays in your sytem as little as 24 hours up to 5 days dependending on metabolic rate and the amount of fat cells in the body. Not to mention all the masking agents that can be purchased online to cover up drug use. Her own husband that was the cheif of police did not know about her drug use nor did the judge she worked for. All I am saying that its a possibillity. Not to rule her out. We the tax payers paid her husband for years to arrest and protect us from people like her. the police really

true story several yrs ago i crossed mr randy byrd

he stood infront of a poky pd officer and threatened to come back when the officer left and kill me and my family

i smiled and told him to go ahead and come visit as my wife brought my safe to the front porch

the officer asked why she did that and i explained to him that what was in the safe was my private business

but i would tell him it was bigger than what he carried and the 12 gauge was just inside the door

i was immediately told i would be arrested if i didn't watch it even though i was on my property minding my own business

i was the complantant my sin was i called the police on byrd's brat for acting like a idiot in front of my house

grooms was the officer and nothing ever came of it i carried that weapon for awhile because of things i heard and by watching how the officer acted like "byrd" was a god to him

i may be a fool but i am not totally stupid
i ran into byrd 2 times after that before i left poky and i was working for a person and byrd cowered down each time to the guy i worked for

it was like a scene from the godfather with byrd actually stating no disrespect sir but this guy has a azz whipping comming

told me all i needed to know about the ppl i worked for i won't say they were involved with any type of crime i will just say things didn't add up and i soon left

heard one of the boss's sons was dating a women whose husband committed suicide a few yrs ago but the scene didn't make any sense

yes the world is a strange plc ain't it humm

There is a lot that don't add up here in Pokey. I myself am not gonna say anything against Randy Byrd, I know he is damn mean and you don't want to cross him. They say if he is your friend he is always your friend. Personally I wanna stay off his radar.

Just add all the threats that he has made to people, cops, lawyers and about everyone else and ask why and how unless a person is retarded the answer is clear. Simple: If you put enough information into the right ears your actions are over looked!

I can't believe the FBI and other law enforcement officers don't tell you everything that's going on. What the hell is wrong with them?

You don't think a trained police officer can spot a meth user? If he can't, he's not much of a police officer. A trained officer can spot a meth user a mile away. Get Real!

I didn't "hear" anything whoever you are that thinks you know so much. I have been there many times while she was drug tested not by her job but by the federal govt. I dont need research. She has a probation officer that pops in also to drug test her. She has had PLENTY. She could never kill anyone . Plus why would she? She had already plead guilty to her charges!!!!! She had nothing to gain from this mans death! Since you know so much why don't you put in an application for the FBI JUSTICE!!
Tell me why an "innocent" person would plead guilty to drug charges?

I posted intentionally without the 'l' in leave, and also misspelled people. The reason...People should spend more time cleaning up their own backyards, as opposed to digging around others. We all fall short of the Glory of God, and it's not our place to judge who's wrong or right. I'd met Travis a few times, and he was always very polite and respectful. Regardless of your opinion of him, he has family and friends who don't appreciate the negative posts. Would you want your friends and family having to look at these comments ? And God forgive the one who says " I wouldn't care. I haven't done anything wrong". Trust me, someone would find something, even if they had to add to it ! RIP Travis.
Are you on meth or something? It is NOT ok to make and sell meth. It doesn't matter how polite and respectful someone is, it is still now ok. His family in all liklihood knew what he was doing, so why should they be surprised now. As far as the ex-chiefs wife being embarrassed........so what, she should have thought about that before getting on the stuff. These people are responsible for their own actions and the percentage of former users that stay clean is not encouraging. Meth is the most addicting drug there is today. Why anyone would want to even try it is beyond me. It makes absolutely no sense when they already know all the lives it has ruined but for some reason they feel they are exempt to all the realities of the drug.

If Travis was to testify in a trial, why wasn't he in protective custody? That's what I want to know. Also, heard he was hanging upside down with a bullet hole in his head. Anyone else?

No, I'm not on meth. No, I never said it was okay to make or sell meth. I read my post twice just to make sure !!! I simply stated the extent of my knowledge of this person, and how sad his friends and family must feel reading some of the posts. Are you on meth ? Can you read ? Apparently you are perfect, have never had any vices, have never fallen short of the Glory of God, and must be WALKIN' ON WATER !! My bad !! Now, read this one twice before you post, so I'll understand why you responded to my post the way you did.

I think you missed the whole point. No, I am not perfect and fall short of the Glory of God on a daily basis. The point is that Travis is dead because of meth, pure and simple. "How sad his friends and family must feel"? Why wasn't someone with him to protect him, they all knew he was going to testify in a drug trial. One other thing, I would walk on water before I would try meth or hang around people that do. His family knew what was going on and probably knew it was only a matter of time after he was arrested..........again....... why wasn't he in protective custody if he was going to testify? The big man is still out there ruining other lives and probably will stay that way because as you can see, there isn't exactly a happy ending to those who try to testify against them, ya think? It should never have been released that Travis was going to testify against anyone until he was on the stand. Then he would still be alive, the big man would get what he deserved and others might get what they deserved. Drugs are a serious matter and sometimes you get a second chance. Murder is something else entirely and there are no second chances.
