People are jumping for joy because ASU, who by the way is a major drain to taxpayers, is opening a huge campus in Mexico. Millions of taxpayer dollars is going to Mexico to fund this project. The "experts" at ASU are wetting their jeans blowing about the culture and grand chance to assist the people of Querentaro Mexico because they have had a huge increase in industrial jobs. Now guess where these jobs came from???? Yes these are the same jobs that left America under the NAFTA agreement, yes your shoe factory, your tool box factory and many others went to that region, now your tax dollars is going there to build them a college because unlike here their economy is growing. First we give these companies grants to transfer to Mexico and take jobs there, now we are building them a college on our dime. Think about this, if the economy ever became so good in Mexico that Americans started to cross the border to work there the border would seal up quick. Our government is spending money like a crackhead with a stolen credit card. Even ASU big shots admit this move probably won't ever help America they just hope to expand some "culture"! Trust me when PECO opens we will have plenty of "culture"!

A local company that went to that area is NESTLE, anyone ever hear of it? Also companies that went to Queretaro is: Bombardier Areospace, Kelloggs, Samsung, Daewou, Colgate, General Electric, Michelin, Tetra Pak,Siemens, New Holland, Arvin Menitor, Autolite,TRW Automotive, Tremec, Valeo, Syvania, Procter Gamble ,Pilgrims Pride and the list goes on to over 100 companies large and small that have set up there because of cheap labor.
The American work force that lost their jobs will never see those jobs move back, they are gone forever, however must we now use taxpayer money to build college campus for these area's that took away our jobs? Will we stand by as Sheep while our country is totally destroyed? We are broke debtor nation that has spent Trillions of dollars trying to build a world economy while our own system falls apart, the people we sent to Washington to serve us have betrayed America and it will only get worse.

Why couldn't they enlarge ASU campus in Jonesboro instead of spending all that money in another country. They have rules what you can do and not to do. After it's built anything could happen drug lords. Dangerest! Hold hostage, just can't figure it out. Our on children are working hard to make it ! So costly!

In 2012 Jonesboro passed a tax increase and 80% of it went to support ASU, we are talking millions of tax dollars. ASU is one of the largest tax drains to our economy and yet they are so proud of the fact they are building a multi million dollar campus in Mexico. The head of the chamber in JOnesboro said on kait8 today he hopes it could help bring industry to Jonesboro, what kind of drugs is he on? Jobs have been flowing to Mexico every since NAFTA , and they aren't coming back.
Growing a world economy is great and giving is wonderful, however it should be their own money they are blowing, not tax payer dollars. I only hope China doesn't cut off our credit before we can build this wonderful world order our leaders seem so hot for. The trade agreement with Mexico is great, we send them our jobs and money , they send us farm products that contain chemicals that have been banned in America for decades, plus a horde of illegal non skilled labor force that usually end up on the welfare rolls.

"In 2012 Jonesboro passed a tax increase and 80% of it went to support ASU,"
"Millions of taxpayer dollars is going to Mexico to fund this project."
got a credible link to those claims?
fyi - we're now part of a worldwide economy.
companies are in business to make money and must compete.
check the tax rates, regulations, and red tape in mexico and elsewhere vs the us.
