No all the elected positions in the town and in Randolph county are Democrats!
That's why this county is in such a horrible shape , these "wise men can not balance the county budget without raising personal property taxes and taking money from the hospital fund.
You got to be one of the KKK tin foil MSNBC believers that wants to take citizens rights away and install Obama as a permanent dictator!

People of the town of Pocahontas and your Chamber what happening ! I live in Jonesboro and my grandparents are from Pocahontas. I receive the Pocahontas newspaper to keep up whats going on around the area . I notice for the past years i did not see anything on your local factories, how are they doing. Jonesboro has a Chamber committee that keeps up with the needs on the Jonesboro factories. This committee helps with the growth . I wish all the best for you all of Pocahontas! The website is old and would like to see updates . My husband always said, it takes good leaders to make a great town. Good-luck to all.

Oh yes great job, but let's see what we have here. The city bought back some land that they had given away once before on a FAILED venture where they allowed another crook to make off with local funds, which he did very well. This time they went into the peanut business, which is not proven in this area and this coming year several farmers have chosen NOT to plant peanuts because of the price set by the GOB's.
Trying to attract business here is very hard I am sure but giving away money and buildings hasn't worked so far. Remember the big blue Darling warehouse at the edge of town? Its not hard to track the bandits that made off with it. Now we have the old Brown shoe factory building, again sold for a bargain, bought with government funds and became the ART center of North America, I mean folks flying in from all over the world to come here.
Jobs, hell they even stopped starting the rumor that jobs were coming, I mean the old rail road tie fantasy still pops up once in a while when our great leaders hang on the feed bag for some out of town scam artist that come by to blow some smoke up the crack of the powers that be.
Face it the only jobs these losers will ever create is jobs for themselves and their friends, folks wanting a job are S.O.L.

I don't know who you are but, I will tell all of you that you do not know what you are talking about! The Chamber works very hard and the director goes to Little Rock and other places to try to get factories to come to Pocahontas. Today times are very hard to try to hook a big deal on factories. We are working on it to get more jobs to come to Pocahontas. So worry about yourself and let us do are job!

The chamber of commerce is not a government job. The chamber is a Union supported by the Republican Party to promote business profits and keep wages low.
The Chamber supports the lobbyist that works to stop increases in minimum wage and the fight labor unions to keep wages low and company profits high.
i'm on welfare anyway.
