The Chamber supports the lobbyist that works to stop increases in minimum wage and the fight labor unions to keep wages low and company profits high.

Maybe someone that has had a job or ran a business that made a profit. Maybe someone that has been somewhere besides Pocahontas. The old scam of giving away the same old piece of land and then buying it back later isn't making any money for the county or city.

my problem with the chamber is they are unelected, spend our money, and are in charge of making employment decisions for us. controlled by a few that have no accountability to anyone.

Our society has grown to believe that to survive we must go big in all things. that every item we buy must be shipped hundreds of miles before we buy it. Shoes must come from Asia and be endorsed by a big name before we buy it. We are so lame in our mind we look to phony over rated people to guide our decisions on what we eat and wear. We sat back and bought items from China that were a few pennies cheaper and allowed our factories to close because we were too stupid to understand basic trade. Look at your own feet and most have China made crap tennis shoes that could have been made here in America by a working American. Sit back and watch the big "game" on your China made tv I mean hell your job is gone so why not?
There is no one going to come save America, if we are to survive we must take charge of our own lives and work together starting in local matters. Anyone even remember how China became a world power? During the war the small country of Japan kicked their butt and they were starving, eating grain from livestock droppings. They started out on the local level making junk from left over war material and working up to owning America. Americans don't have this drive because most have not had to struggle and are soft as a cotton balls.

Is there anyone in Randolph county politics that isn't a democrat?
They can not seem to balance the budget, but all they do is to raise taxes( sales taxes, personal property taxes).
That is why this county can't keep any big business or higher paying jobs is because the local good old boys would then have to raise the salaries of their employees. We have a huge warehouse that they basically rented for nothing just to keep other businesses from coming here.

I left Pocahontas years ago,got a good paying job,and never looked back,i knew then it would never get better only worse.no doubt I made the best choice for me.

We have a sorry chamber,Tim Scott needs to be held accountable. We are finding that all that is, is not. Lead,Follow,or Get the Hell Out of the Way It would help you not to have to have 2 jobs. lol If you would just give it up. Time is wasteing.
