Pocahontas is not a tourist destination, there is nothing here for people to see or do. The few locals who actually ride this thing will not be enough to finance it. I don't know anyone who wants to pay to float down Black River and be eaten up by Mosquitos. There are parks in this town that need to be cleaned up and refurbished, maybe he should try getting that done, there are places along the highways and streets where flowers could be planted, people drive down the streets and there are abandoned houses that need to be torn down, there is trash everywhere, this is not a town that people want to visit and spend their money in..

The old railroad bridge was a neat place I always wondered why they destroyed it.

They, also wanted to tear down the old court house and make a parking lot until some people wised up. They, should have wised up about the tourist courts across from the Grider's Gulch and saved them. In a few years people will be saying the same things about other historical structures destroyed in the name of progress.

I would think that would be a good thing for Pocahontas but how will they handle that when the rivers flood as you know they will.

Why don't we just put the word out for all the useless trains and boats to be located in Pocahontas? Right along with the wonderful chicken plant. Then we would have the junk and the smell too! Oh, wait, then all the workers from across the border will feel right at home. This might be a plan after all.

Why don't we just put the word out for all the useless posters and critics with bugs up their asses to be located in Pocahontas. Then you would feel right at home. Good plan.

I find it amusing that so many people are just handing over money to Johnson to put in his pocket. Such a con artist when it didnt cost him a dime to transport it. And then to read on KAIT that he didnt even pay but $100.00 for it, if he was even telling the truth about that. Cant wait till the first time it gets hung on a sand bar.

How many tore-@ss visit the messed up train? Never saw a large gathering standing around gazing at that attraction so why would they get on a boat that is falling apart, on a stinky river?

Why don't you go talk to him? The truth is that is cost over 5 thousand to move it and he did pay a hundred dollars for the boat. That wasn't the only money spent. I'm sure he would live to clear up any confusion. And by the way. Have you brought/ done anything for pokey? Sad that a good man is getting slandered for trying something new. You should find a tall tree and a short rope.
