Sebelius slashes Obamcare enrollment expectations, blames CBO
Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius lowered the bar on expected Obamcare enrollments by March 31, contradicting her pre-rollout support of a 7 million signup estimate by the Congressional Budget Office (CBO).
Sebelius appeared Tuesday on a “Huffington Post Live” interview moderated by Marc Lamont Hill, who asked the secretary about Vice President Joe Biden’s claim that 5.6 million enrollments would be a success.
“That’s 1 million to 2 million short of the 7 million mark that the administration set,” Hill noted.“Do you agree with Vice President Biden that five or six [million] is a much more realistic mark than seven?”

Once again the Daily Caller owned and operated by FOX news commentator is Tucker Carlson.... another Glenn Beck without the chalkboard.
The 2 videos shown on the website are not complete videos ....just sound bytes taken out of context.....LOL!
But on to most important issues:
Tucker Carlson Calls Bigotry ‘Tolerance’ and Equal Treatment for Gays ‘Fascism’
With the political world waiting on tenterhooks for Governor Jan Brewer (R-AZ) to decide whether she’ll veto Arizona’s SB1062, which prevents the government from compelling individuals to act in a way that would “substantially burden a person’s exercise of religion,” Fox News host and Daily Caller publisher Tucker Carlson bravely came to the defense of bigots, and called out the “fascism” of affording equal protection to gay people with regard to public accommodations like the sale of wedding cakes.
Media Matters flagged an exchange, on Fox News’ America’s Newsroom, in which Carlson takes the half-baked conservative attempt to pervert the word “tolerance” to include bigotry, and kicks it up a Godwinian notch.“If I don’t want to bake you a cake for your gay wedding, that’s okay too, or should be,” Carlson says.“That’s called tolerance. But when you try and force me to bake a cake for your gay wedding and threaten me with prison if I don’t, that’s called fascism.”
He goes on to call it “insane,” and “fascism” one more time, but the real stars of this clip are Alan Colmes and, yes, Martha MacCallum. You expect Colmes to make all the right, obvious-to-any-5th-grader points, like how the broad language of the law would allow other types of discrimination (contrary to Carlson’s belief, opposition to racial intermarriage also goes back a long way, and still exists), or that it could extend to situations more serious than a large pastry, like refusing medical treatment.
But it was MacCallum who really shined by stepping in, as the anchor, and authoritatively keeping Carlson on track when he strayed into a side-point about whether opposing gay marriage makes you a klansman.“That is the argument,” she said.“You’re either open for business, or not open for business. You can’t choose based on different criteria, any more than a Muslim bakery can say you can’t come in here without your head covered to shop here. You can’t do that.”
Slow clap for Martha MacCallum.
This was followed by Carlson apparently supporting the right of forced head-coverings in bakeries, and then arguing that bakers should be able to ban conduct that there are already laws against.“You can’t come into my bakery naked. You can’t come in here and use vulgar language,” he said.
The fact is, you’re free to be a bigot in America, but in certain situations, you’re not free to act on that bigotry. To extend Carlson’s absurd logic, if that same baker’s religion prevented him from serving Jews, it would be “fascism” to compel him to do so. You could say that takes the cake, at least until Tucker Carlson gets his way.

Convicted Terrorist Worked as Obamacare Navigator in Illinois
* Woman involved in deadly terror bombings kept her past secret from authorities in President's home state.
February 26, 2014
A terrorist from Jordan briefly worked as an Obamacare navigator in Illinois while authorities remained unaware of her conviction for involvement in a deadly grocery store bombing and two other attacks.
Rasmieh Yousef Odeh was convicted in Israel for her role in several bombings, including the 1969 attack on an upscale Shufersol grocery store, which killed two Hebrew University students who had stopped in to buy groceries for a hiking trip in the Jerusalem hills. Leon Kanner and Eddie Joffe were killed by a bomb hidden in a candy box tucked on a shelf, which also injured nine or 10 others, according to a website maintained by the Israeli government to commemorate terror victims.
Odeh, who has as many as nine aliases, was indicted in October for allegedly lying on her U.S. immigration and naturalization application papers. On Dec. 9, 2004, she had been sworn in as a U.S. citizen in a district court in Michigan, the same state where bombing victim Kanner had spent six months studying English. If Odeh is convicted, she could lose her U.S. citizenship and serve up to 10 years in prison. Separately, the Illinois Insurance Code permits civil penalties to be levied after a hearing on any Obamacare navigator whose certificate has been denied, suspended or revoked.
Odeh declined National Review’s interview request.

Health law cybersecurity challenges
February 25, 2014
As the Obama administration raced to meet its self-imposed deadline for online health insurance markets, security experts working for the government worried that state computer systems could become a back door for hackers.
Documents provided to The Associated Press show that more than two-thirds of state systems that were supposed to tap into federal computers to verify sensitive personal information for coverage were initially rated as ‘‘high risk’’ for security problems.
Back-door attacks have been in the news, since the hackers who stole millions of customers’ credit and debit card numbers from Target are believed to have gained access through a contractor’s network.

This year's charming U.S. Valentine postage stamp, resembling a paper cutout heart, has a Charleston connection. It was designed by upstate New York artist Elizabeth Quarrier Eddy-Cassetti, known by her nickname "Q." Her mother is Linda Giltinan Eddy, formerly of Charleston.
In the wake of The Great 2014 Water Crisis, some West Virginians recall when then-Gov. Joe Manchin bought a half-million-dollar luxury yacht in partnership with then-West Virginia American Water chief Chris Jarrett and two other Charleston men.
An outfit called "Americans for Prosperity" wants West Virginians to "stand up against ObamaCare." Wait a minute - how could you bring prosperity by taking away people's medical insurance?

HARRISBURG — Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Corbett plans to undergo hernia surgery in Pittsburgh and will transfer power temporarily to the lieutenant governor.
His office described the procedure being done this morning as minor and said he was expected to be under general anesthesia for about an hour.
The laparoscopic procedure at Allegheny General Hospital’s outpatient surgery facility is to repair an abdominal hernia.
Mr. Corbett's press secretary Jay Pagni said Wednesday that the governor will recuperate for several days at his home in Shaler, and his schedule is clear until Monday, when he will return to work . He obtained his injury while hauling fracking companies campaign contributions in large brown paper bags.

Veteran White House Correspondents: Obama ‘Least Accessible’ Of Any President
February 26, 2014
Three past presidents and veterans of the White House Correspondents Association agreed that President Barack Obama is the “least accessible” of any modern president.
A Tuesday panel discussion for the 100th anniversary celebration of the White House Correspondents Association featured veteran journalists – National Journal’s George Condon, ABC News’ Ann Compton, and Reuters’ Steve Holland – agreeing that Obama is the “least accessible” president to reporters.
When asked if Obama is the “least accessible” of any president they have covered, Holland replied,“I would say that.”
The journalists’ comments are direct criticism of an administration that vowed to increase transparency throughout government, declaring on the White House website that the administration “is committed to creating an unprecedented level of openness in Government.”

Democratic governors: Obama needs to sell Obamacare
With the battle over Obamacare moving from Washington to the states and a deluge of ads battering the law on TV, Democratic governors delivered a message to President Barack Obama over the weekend: We need help.
Four years out from passage of the Affordable Care Act, it’s state executives in Obama’s party who may be bearing the heaviest load when it comes to making the law work and selling it to voters. They’ve grappled with their own glitch-ridden enrollment sites and fought their own legislatures over Medicaid expansion.
Now, many of them are running for reelection with the ACA hanging over their heads — and only a limited effort from national Democrats and their president to reverse the consistently negative public opinion of the law.

Krauthammer’s Take: Obamacare ‘Impossible from the First Day’
February 25, 2014
Two-thirds of small businesses set to experience a premiums increase is just the latest Obamacare promise to be broken, and the administration knew it all along, Charles Krauthammer asserts. There was no way the government could fulfill all its stated obligations of insuring up to 40 million uninsured people, providing subsidies, and keeping premiums low, among others, without increasing the cost of the program.
“That was impossible from the first day,” he said on Tuesday’s Special Report. The only way it was remotely possible with through “hidden transfers of wealth” written in to the law, such as younger, healthier people subsidizing others.
“You could say it’s social justice, but you also have to say it’s deception,” he continued “That’s how the numbers were made to come out so the administration would say the government isn’t going to pay a dime.”

This just in from Faux Views.......... Hillary Clinton too old to be President.......... That is all.
#56124 Feb 27, 2014
wasn't Reagan 78 in his last year in office. Hillary is only 66 so say she's prez for 8 years starting in 2016 so she'd be 76 in her last year of the presidency. although Reagan lost his marbles long before he finished up his presidency. Hillary has hers and bill would probably run the whitehouse if he gets an intern working for him LMAO

‘The Imperial Presidency’
House holds hearing on executive overreach
February 26, 2014
Members of Congress and constitutional law experts testified before the House Judiciary Committee on Wednesday, warning that the legislative branch is in danger of ceding its power in the face of an “imperial presidency.”
The hearing,“Enforcing the President’s Constitutional Duty to Faithfully Execute the Laws,” focused on the multiple areas President Barack Obama has bypassed Congress, ranging from healthcare and immigration to marriage and welfare rules.
Jonathan Turley, Shapiro Professor of Public Interest Law at George Washington University, testified that the expansion of executive power is happening so fast that America is at a “constitutional tipping point.”
“My view [is] that the president, has in fact, exceeded his authority in a way that is creating a destabilizing influence in a three branch system,” he said.“I want to emphasize, of course, this problem didn’t begin with President Obama, I was critical of his predecessor President Bush as well, but the rate at which executive power has been concentrated in our system is accelerating. And frankly, I am very alarmed by the implications of that aggregation of power.”
