Interesting how Dubay uses his on-air time to rip athletes for not being stand up guys and how they so often don't take responsibility for their actions! I guess people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones! I think P.A. needs to watch how he handles this situation as well because if he sits back and only has pitty for Dubay, he'll alienate his fan base as well. Even if the drug wasn't his (yea right), maybe he needs to use some common sense who he lets use his vehicle.

If he sought treatment, did he complete it? If he sought treatment, why in the world would he expect police to believe that he lent his truck to a dealer? He is truly delusional.
I tried that "It isn't mine" line with my mom back in '54 over a pack of Luckies. Didn't work

It is his life to do with as he pleases, true. But was he putting anyone else in harms way or an uncomfortable position before this got out? Like possibly driving while under the influence? Is he supporting a drug dealer that also has no conscience and sells to teens? Has it affected his performance at work or those that work with him? Etc....

I was married to a man for 13 years. He began "freebasing" (what they used to call smoking cocaine, before they started marketing crack so everyone could afford it). I will never know at what point in our relationship he started, because he was so adept at hiding it from me. He ended up going into treatment 4 times in a period of 5 years (some court ordered, some voluntary). Once he started doing cocaine, he never had control over his life - the cocaine did. When I could no longer live that way, and "support" / enable him, he lost everything - his family - wife and beautiful son, his job, his money, his car, his dignity, his hope. I don't know where he is. I can't. It is still too painful 12 years later.... I couldn't help him. He's probably either in the penitentiary or dead.

So no jokes here. Until you have lived through it or with it you cannot even imagine the power....

Call what happened to him KARMA.....

For all the years he spewed one sided garbage on KFAN and just built up his own ego by thinking he was judge, jury, and executioner on any sports issue. I think the constant stroking he did of his own ego daily on that show made him feel as if her were "above the law" so to speak, and I hope he gets the book throw at him so he is made an example of!

Just my opinoin..........

Question. If the crack wasn't his; how did he know it was in the car? Stupid if you ask me.

Adios, Puffy. Not sorry to see you go...I wasn't a fan of your style or substance. Station gave him a chance to clean up his act...he blew it. I don't feel sorry for him at all.

The guy needs treatment. He doesn't need to get fired.

I couldn't agree with you more, very well said. People need to understand that addiction is a disease and a sickness and no matter how much you love someone and how much you try to help sometimes there is nothing you can do. It affects everyone around them, so dont laugh at people who have these problems. I hope he gets the help he needs before it's too late. And everyone deserves a second chance!

I guess Dubay took much longer in life to get thru his "hate ashbury days" then other personalities on the same station. Now he has peaked this chapter in his life, he can look "beyond" and ahead for better days then his past couple years. Good luck...

I have a feeling he was on a probation type period with the station after his first time going through treatment. And now he has let the drug take control of his life as he spins on this downward cyle till he reaches bottom. As a media person, his career is over.

What you don't know was the station's policy regarding drugs. Who paid for this his treatment the first time? Maybe his companies insurance picked up the tab. Maybe the company paid for it. We do not know. I am sure he was told he had better clean up his act. The Radio & TV business is not a nice business. Stations change formats and get rid of their personnel without any warning if their ratings are down. Just look at Channel 5 and the way they turn over their announcers.

Knowing the owner of a car is suspended is not probable cause. Knowing the driver of the vehicle is suspended is probable cause. Huge difference and one that should probably get him out of the criminal problem. The stop was illegal because no probable cause existed.
He sure needs help though.
Actually, knowing the owner of the car has a suspended license DOES give the police the authority to pull the car over to see who is driving. Sorry, but the stop was legal. As a former crackhead, I know the hell Dubay is going through right now...not the loss of job and reputation, but the hell of being addicted, trying to stop, and falling back into the same old trap...but you can kick it,I know that for a fact..been clean 15 years
