Driving drunk killing someone is no different than shooting someone in the head with a gun they both amount to murder, and it should be considered murder in the first degree with a life sentence no parole.

You drive drunk and hurt somebody or worse, you need to pay the price. But what about those that are stupid and drive? People come to this country and have no driving skills at all and we call it an accident.

Drinking & Driving is wrong. She should get jail time, however, it's not all her fault. What about the person whose car stalled in the right lane? They should have pulled over to the shoulder. I understand breakdowns happen but usually you can coast to the shoulder & turn on your hazards.

My heart goes out to the family. I am sorry for your loss, but you are also partly to blame as well. How about getting a car that works? Maybe, because of your car breaking down & DUH, let's get out of the car on the freeway & just stand there.

Prosecute people for actual violations of others' rights. Drunken driving in and of iteself is NOT a crime!

It should be, however, that's a tough one to answer taking into consideration the variables that could have played a part that lead up to the accident, i.e. slippery roads, obscured or non existent road signs, unknown medical condition, mechanical failure. Although, when a person gets drunk and behind the wheel and proceeds to drive is nothing short of that person being a bullet and the car is the gun and it's just a matter of time before it goes off with the possibility of someone getting killed or injured, now the person that got drunk knew it would be against the law to drive, but they choose to do it anyway. Yep! She committed murder.

Funny, coming from an urban liberal when the entire north side is a no man's land and you won't do anything about it because its the black community and they are victims.
