Everyone thinks the legal system is like what they see on television. If our system is so bad, try living in Mexico.
We're not a 3rd world country. I don't have to walk in their shoes to determine how we run our country.

To sit in a nice comfortable prison, get 3 squares and a bed.. and free medical and dental!
What a deal!
This guy threw away his life years ago, and ruined 2 other lives..
Guys like him have NO redeeming value and just waste space and resources..
He needs to be taken out into the wood and given a bullet.. then buried in a unmarked grave,

The "low life pig" should be hung, shot or fried in the electric chair. Period.
My comments were on the poorly written article. If you think what was written was clear to you then you have a poor grasp of what professional journalism should be.
BTW, you screen name is very indicative of your level of life.

This guy makes a strong case for late term abortion being legal....his! Then there would be no need for the death penalty in Minnesota and the 20 years and millions of cost in appeals and incarceration on death row.

Snatch 'em from the womb right off the bat and flush it down the toilet.

I think this is a great idea! Another option would be to hold him down and smash his head in with a rock, like he did to his victims.

Can someone decipher this? Besides the grammar and syntax being atrocious, it makes no sense.

If all 4 chronic alcoholic worthless criminals had killed each other... Would the PP have reported that? Or is it just the fact that new DNA technology sort of confirmed what should have been confirmed 19 years ago?

If the papers keep replacing reporters with interns, where are the interns going to work once they are done being interns?
EastSide_Thomas wrote:
This is a poorly written example of what passes for journalism these days. David Hanners needs to have his work proof read:
In the opening paragraphs it is reported:
"...Brian Scott Poquette decided he didn't like one of his companions. So they fought, and he bashed the man's head with a rock.
When one of the others intervened, the man slipped and tumbled down the riverbank. Poquette smashed his head with the same rock, killing him."
The reader has been told that two men had been hit in the head with the same rock.
Then, reading further, this summation of the assult is given:
"'Carlson said Poquette picked up a rock and smashed Anderson in the head two or three times.
Brown and Carlson were watching from the bluff above, and Brown decided to help Anderson. Carlson told investigators he pushed the man away and told him to leave the two men alone.
Somehow, Brown "ended up flipping over Carlson's back and falling down the cement shaft," the complaint said. Carlson fled without waiting to see what happened to Brown."
This leaves the reader to question by what manner did the 2nd man, Frank Brown, die? It was previously said that he'd been bashed on the head with the same rock as Gregory Anderson. Now David Hanners reports that Brown died as a result of falling to his dead down a concrete shaft after flipping over Carlson's back. I thought Brown was killed while in a fight with Poquette; how did Carlson get into the fight?
The difference here is this... Poquette could have been charged with attempted manslaughter if he did indeed smash Anderson in the head with a rock (remove the "attempted' clause from the charge due to the victims later death from his injuries); but if Brown died as a result from injuries he sustained by falling down the shaft then how can Poquette be charged with his murder? It seems from this story he must have been involved with a fight with Carlson, after all, he somehow was flipped over Carlson's back.
After reading this article the only clear conclusion is that David Hanners needs to get addition training in writing.

Everyone has all these great ideas and says we should do this or that, it doesn't work that simple ! That's the point I was trying to make ! And at the same time, it could be worse.

Poquette looks just like my Micro Economics professor from college. Hard to believe such a distinguished looking fellow could be capable of bashing two people in the head with a rock.
