Funny they have been spamming Craigslist with this new site, not a good way to start life.

For years Craigslist has had warnings all over the site about the dangers and scams.

Kudos to these guys. It isn't easy to take on Goliath, but Craigslist has got to go or quit promoting sex slavery, one of the two. Not on my watch. Let's all use tikiwade and kijiji and we will do some good.

Tikiwade is your family-friendly alternative to Craigslist.

Through the Tikiwade Foundation, we will continue to demonstrate the value that we place on the well-being of each individual. We know that we are each directly linked to the well-being of all. At the same time, we recognize the suffering in our world and in our own nation.

TikiWade will apply at least the first 10 percent of our net income to the mission of supporting organizations that change lives by: Sheltering the homeless, feeding the hungry, clothing the needy, treating the afflicted, and promoting financial independence for those in poverty.

I wonder how much press this story would get if a 50 year old straight guy and his wife did it?

Oh, glad to see you are donating 10% to your favorite charities...but every other company donates money also (for the tax benefits). The difference is that they actually make money..."Tikiwade had only 530 unique visitors last month and no revenue"

Actually, they are not gay. Both are married to women. However, I'll agree that the photo used is quite misleading!

All it takes for evil to prosper is good men saying nothing. By allowing the sex trade to peosper on your site, you ARE promoting sex slavery. Comments like yours are what allows evil to prosper. Fight evil by doing good.

Just what we need - a second-rate, wanna-be Craiglist that is "family friendly". Ho hum. I bet both of it's users are really happy with it.

What ever happened to pulling for the little guy, building something in your garage, the American dream. This cynicism has got to be rare at best. C'mon

Really? Even the caption on the picture said they were 'partners', which we all know is code for living-together-as-husband-and -husband. If that is true, I stand corrected. Either way, I'll hold on on making an investment until after more than 500 people visit per month...

Lame. If I wanted "family-friendly" I wouldn't be looking at Craigslist in the first place, idiots.

Umm, "partners" refers to the fact that the two men are business partners. Why is this so tough to understand?

My name is Wendi Girard. Wade Girard and I have been married for nearly 18 years. The picture, and comment under the picture of Wade and Brad is very misleading and unfortunate. These two men are childhood friends and BUSINESS partners. My husband is a dedicated husband and father. He has worked diligently for years on making TikiWade a reality and was blessed to have a friend with a masters degree in business who believes in TikiWade too. Thank you to everyone: friends, family and strangers who have given my husband support and believe in him.

Their are already a lot of "family friendly" classified sites out there. The best one that I know of is ListedLocal.com . I believe it was founded by a guy that played for the Vikings a few years ago. Craigslist has a lot of bad stuff on it, but it also does a lot of good. I guess some people just like to be negative, its not like craigslist is a necessity if you don't like it don't use it! Family friendly classifieds are nothing new, search on Google you can find tons of great sites with lots of traffic and great deals!
