I was told that a repair to my fuel system would cost more than $1000.00, when in actuality it only cost $347.00. It was to simply replace a fuel pump, nothing else. Don't ever take your vehicle to this "backyard mechanic". He's a hack, and will take you for every cent you have (if he decides to "fix" your problem in the first place)

I've had Dejvi's Auto on Palmer in Westland tackle several jobs for me. His quotes are based on book time which is standard. He does good work. He even will point out other things that I should have looked at too. Nice guy and very helpful and extremely fast work in most cases. The only negative I have to say is that his shop was a tad disheveled but it appears he's tackled that job because now it is quite acceptable.

Are you a certified mechanic? Shall we take your word on faith? Some fuel pumps could cost $1,000 to replace. We don't know the model vehicle or symptoms you had. Your post means nothing.

I've been a mechanic for many years and I like to find out who's worth taking their vehicle to - to have fixed in a timely, and cost effective, manner. Having some one who pounds on brake rotors and suspension to fix it is not what I'd call good work. Tell you what, you disconnect something on your vehicle, take it to him, and see how long it takes monkey boy to figure it out!.

He knows what he's doing. Whatever I don't do, I have him do. And he does it just fine. Gave him a bit of work seeing as I used to live right down the street from him. He gives a price for a job, and does it for that price, and it gets done right. This does in fact include welding. Had him do 2 welding jobs for me. Charged me $40 to do the thermostat on my now dead light duty truck, and it took 3 hrs to do (most of the time was cleaning all the grime my power steering leak left behind). 3 hrs for $40, for professional mechanics. Good luck trying to get that anywhere else. He does the same job other ''name brand'' stores do, at a much more affordable price, and the quality is just the same if not better. Don't mind what Matt_P said. That is not true. He's even been so kind as to lend me tools for things I've done myself (don't bother asking, he knows me). Bottom line being, anybody who tries to knock what he does, have fun spending anywhere from 2-10x more at another shop that does the same damn job with the same quality of work or less.

Dejvis, always fixed my car right, in a timely fashion & at fair prices. He let me know what needs to be fixed and what can wait to be fixed. He has fixed my car and waited on pay. I am from Ohio and moved to Westland 2 years ago. He did not know me very well, yet he trusted me to pay him later for a minor repair. I have had to wait at his shop for my car to be fixed, several times, he is a funny, honest, hard working individual. I live in Detroit, now & stop to visit him sometimes. Ripoff artist, I think not. He also helped me pay cheaper prices for some items. I like Dejvis as a mechanic & a human being. I am a woman who double checks what a mechanic tells me and other people gave pricing triple of his!

They've sure been there forever and that means something. I wish I were on that side of town. I favor a place within walking or biking distance.
