I knew Sean from camping with him.He was a good kid, but even up there chose to drive crazy. Ever sence the day he died, im scared to go driving with friends because of him. He chose to be dumb and drive stupid probely to seam cool or show off. I learned never to drive like that and always wear a seat belt.

Megan:

Do Not be afraid. You have shown by coming in here and saying what you have and by showing your reluctance that you are an intelligent person.

Sit down with your Mom, Your Dad, or Guardian. Have an agreement with them. that if you are ever out with friends anywhere and feel unsafe riding or driving with them, that you can CALL HOME.

When you call home, a responsible adult will come to pick you up and you will not be given a lecture or spoken to harshly even if initially you were WRONG.

By being adult enough to realize you were in a bad situation and called home, they respect your decision and will talk calmly with you the following day.

Write this out in the form of a contract. and have your mom and dad or guardian sign it.

Keep a copy with you in case Aunt Stella or Uncle javier comes to pick you up.

And remember always carry your cell phone.

Tell your boyfriends " keep your minds on your driving keep your hands on the wheel keep your googly eyes on the road ahead."

Love to you

A Dad and a Grandpa.

I have the same agreement with my youngest He is a boy 20

Would you feel sorry or have sympathy for a parent who gave his kid a loaded firearm, without instruction and supervision? How is that different than giving your kid a WRX AND letting them drive their high school buddies around AND let this happen after dark? It's sad that the community has to witness this kind loss, but I think the parents helped dig the kids' graves.

We protect our children from negligent parents in every other way...how about having CPS check these people out? Homes have been investigated - maybe dismantled, I don't know - for far less. How about having parents stand before an earthly judge and justify why their kids were where they were in what kind of car any time there is any traffic violation?

The saddest thing about this is that the kids were just doing what kids are going to do if given the tools and a chance. And this time, they llost.

Giving kids faster cars helps them avoid trouble that they see on the road. Kids have faster reflexes so should be allowed to drive faster than old people. It's not their fault that old decrepit people drive around like their cars are constipated.

Bricely:

You are just the type of ignorant child that should never get a licence even for a trycicle.

You are unfit for the road.

Willy, I think you're unfit for this board. And by your spelling, I assume you're still riding a tricycle. "sumware"? "grate"? too much lead in your water.

Do we have a spelling nazi on this forum? As long as the point gets across, typos here and there don't matter.
