TLC halts production of 'Jon and Kate Plus 8'

The Los Angeles Times is reporting that TLC has halted production of "Jon & Kate Plus 8," a reality show that follows the lives of Jon and Kate Gosselin and their eight children, until August.

Not a TV watcher so forgive the question, however who the F are these people?? I mean the guy looks like a total goof and she albeit definitely MILF material I'm sure is a total pain in the A outside of bed. IMHO of course. Warhol was right. I watched the show for the first time last night. From what I saw, I don't like either of these people, but have sympathy for the kids. The cynic in me wondered if this wasn't a stunt for a future reconciliation/happy ever after season. Hopefully TLC and Jon and Kate will come to the realization that it probably isn't the healthiest thing to raise children under the glare of the public eye, and cancel the show. Question for the regular viewers; is there a Child Psychiatrist/Psychologist involved in the production?

She's in it for the $$ and he went along for the ride.

Good! It's about time TLC woke up. I've asked all my friends to boycott TLC. How disgusting of them to continue a show of a family going through a tragedy like divorce. J & K....who cares about the money. Go back to work as IT Specialist and Nurse and live within your means.
