not sure how it was in the late 70s but west point is still a small town with not a lot to do. The sad thing is that we have hiking trails, mountain bike trails, a music ranch, 2 nice restaurants, a boat dock, and other things but yet the teens stay bored. There is a lot of gossiping in west point, i think it's because nobody ever has anything better to do. Other than that, west point is a great town and we do have some nice people still around and fond memories are still being made. if you're interested in learning about people you knew from the past, Mr. Briggs could probably tell you anything or you could ask Mr. Aiken

You are about the useless person I have ever seen on here. For Men who fought for our country and was a POW you are useless to call them an old bastard. They had a father, thats not a bastard and if I knew who u where I bust you right in your mouth. You are a shit stirring disrespectful useless person. And I pray that one day they get to shit right in your face, I bet you will remember that, you loser.

They have both passed. But their Grandson lives in the home. Their son Joey lives in Florida and Rhonda lives in West Point.

mr briggs is a historian who dedicated most of his life to research , study and write small and large informative books about west point...id be rude if i didnt take up for him after whoever rudely commented about them not knowing where they shit last...really...these comments are the ones that make me actually sit back and wonder if anyone has any respect for their elders anymore at all...this was back in 2009 and now its 2012 so i hope to lordy lord people have grown up and are more respectful them these ancient posts..mr briggs wont be around much longer and anyone who sits and learns anything about this town or the slaves who once worked in it would be a mighty lucky person if i do say so myself.

Mr. Briggs is one of the nicest and smartest men I have had the pleasure of knowing, hes very worldly and we should all be so lucky to live through what he has .. hes an amazing man and deserves much respect... as far as mrs aikin - the name aikin... isnt doin so good around here due to the younger generation, sherry libby and the younger daughter have turned into gossip fed onry women, and i hope that they dont ruin the whole families reputation, mr aikin was an amazing man and deserves to be proud of his grandchildren and descendants, lets pray that those women get their priorities in line rather than drinkin and driving n yelling in the streets at their crak head bfriends in the middle of the night with no respect of their neighbors in this town who actually have to work in the mornings that they so incosideratly keep up all night with their pointless ranting ... what a shame smh
