Pawelik only passed Childs record because he kept the ball for himself instead of passing like a real quaterback should. Thats why Pleasanton will never have a winning record. Same play over and over again.

name the guys when pleasanton was actually good, not guys that didnt help there team win. anyone can star on a team that sucks, few can star on a good team, and first round of playoffs isnt a good team, bad teams can do that

THERE HASN'T BEEN ANY GOOD TEAMS THAT WERE JUST THAT "TEAMS"In years worth watchin. Its one person or maybe two a year that come through but there will Never be any like there used to be. Those were the awesome days. It wasn't just football it was baseball too. What the hell happened. Only the 90s had good athletes or what. This kids now are ok but i dont think sports around here will ever be the way it was then. Dont you agree.?

pleasnaton hardly ever made the playoffs in the 90's, and when they did they never got past the first round. players are bigger faster and stronger now a days. the teams from about 03 till about 08 were the best teams pleasanton has had, especially the recent pleasanton team that went deep, there isnt another team out there that could have played with them from this town. i can name players left and right from that team that no other team can come close to.

How about the class of 1990 Where Will Davidson played for Baylor and became all southwest conference drafted by the Arizona Cardinals, or from the same class Gerald Trevino made it to state in the 1600 meter relay running in the 49's, or the baseball team being ranked number 1 in state making it to the Regional finals and Gerald getting drafted by the Atlanta Braves.

i agree with #growup the best teams to ever go through pleasanton were between 2003-2008, you had players like William Wilkerson (all-state), August Peters, Curtis Clader, Matt and Spencer Sligh, Gabe Guerrero, Reave Thompson, David Ware, Isiah Robinson, Benjamin De Jesus, Frank Baca, Nathan Morales, Eric Cerda, Mario and Hector Menchaca, Hector Valdez, Brenton Owens... To name a few... no one could touch the team that went 9-1 in 2004...

Obviously u graduated in 04. The 08 team will always go down as the best team to ever come out of Pleasanton until someone can win the state title. Half the guys u named were just names, not players that did something. Throw some stats out there to back up the names. Wilkerson and clader are the best two u named that can be backed by the stats. But even with that, 08 had 2 guys that played the same positions and out did them both.

I was speaking more on the football side. And you have a point with the athlete part of it but athletes don't always make the best teams. And remember, schools and grad classes are judged by football when it comes to sports, nothing else matters. Best teams have come from the more recent teams, best players have to, all the records are from the 08 year, in fball that is

That 08 football year was in 3A football. Yes on the football side our 1990 team was just as successful as any in Pleasanton (we were district champs). Alot of the same athletes from our football team, played on other team sports. Baseball we were Regional finalists, Basketball we were undefeated district champs. Track we were runner ups, Tennis were district champs, golf we were district champs. As a football team we had defensive end Bo Griffith who played college ball, he is also in the football minor league hall of fame and I believe he played in the World Football league. Will Davidson played for Baylor and was All conference also got drafted by the Arizona Cardinals, We had Randy Palmer's older brother David playing center for us. Chris Wiggins was as good of a TE as any, currently he is a coach in the Houston area. As mentioned earlier Gerald got drafted by the Atlanta Braves straight out of HS, unfortunately he skipped his senior year of Football to concentrate on baseball. He had been starting at tailback since his soph year. He was roughly 5'10" 190 lbs. and ran in the 4.4/4.5' 40 yards, He was participating in High School track meets when we were in 8th grade. Geraud Gonzales was the smallest linebacker in district, but was the only unanimous all district selection. Linebacker Rene Martinez had offers from Soutwest Texas State University (Texas State now).

totally agree with you! they were great not just by themselves, but as a team! Always had the other ones back no matter what! they won as a team and lost as a team! ohh and dont forget about Alyice Peters, & Chriti Carr! they were the two all time great girls that set bada$$ records for pleasanton! i've always looked up to them, and they also have a heart of gold!
