I am going to write what most parents and teachers are thinking but find it too sad to write.

THIS is a prime example of what can happen when a child is allowedto play in a grown up world.

A 14 yr old should not be allowed to be in a relationship. They are not prepared emotionally to handle them.

Parents should take a closer look at what their children are being allowed to do and pull the reins in.

I am sorry no one was there fr you Evelyn, If you only could have only seen that he was "Just a boy"

I am so saddened about this incident. Evelyn, I will offer all my prayers for you.
To the rest of your friends, we are always ready to listen either by email or whatever. Life is so precious.

That day i had a dentist appointment but if i didn't i would have seen this happen. This is the saddest event since the suicide in the same place last year.

No one knows the demons these young kids are fighting against internally, but as a parent who has experienced a loss knows that it goes beyond the actual act.

You know what is sad is that this affects my 6th grader, and now my 7th grader, leaving elementary school and then having to be exposed to this kind of public display of sadness, it is cruel to put this kind of burden upon young children that are coming from an elementary school.

no offense cuz u might be one of my teachers but do u know the whole story? Why she did it? It's cuz her parents made her break up with him.. She couldn't handle or comprehend life w/o Ian, and ppl were their for Evelyn.. They just didn't take her threat seriously

With all due respect I just wish it wasn't public, I am sure that she had her reasons, but the fact that it has been made public is what hurts everyone, if she wanted to hurt her parents that's fine, but to hurt my son in the process and many other children, just sucks...GOD Bless her...

I know how hurtful words can be, but sometimes we have to allow these kids to express what they feel or think, and in a sense they hold the truth. Even though we as parents are hit with a tremendous loss, so were those kids. It will help to realize that the breakup by your son was not the core issue of what this young girl was going through. I don't think the comment above was intented to hurt your son.....And for the parent of the young girl, my heart goes out to them. My son took his own life 4 years ago. Blame?....there is no one to blame.

I'm sorry! I didn't mean to b offensive honest I'm not I'm just in shock n dnt understand wht I'm thinking compared to wht I'm writing... I do feel horrible for all her friends she left behind including Ian! We r all suffering with the loss of a classmate and a friend it's just hard!
