Liberty's Anti-Smoking Vote Raises Concerns for Businesses

Full story: Fox4KC

It has only been one day after Liberty voters agreed to beef up the town's existing smoking ban and already there are two big questions: will it drive smoking customers away, and how long will it be before smokers have no where to go? Tuesday's vote is a very big deal for two Liberty establishments.

Which is why we need a statewide ban. Why is Missouri so slow? It's really bad when you're behind Nebraska.

I just got my local property tax bill in Chicago. Many property taxes are jumping 40 percent in some areas. It's frustrating sitting here 2 miles from casinos, bars and restaurants in Indiana seeing all the Illinois money going there.

Actually...you act as if these type of bans are something new...when nothing could be further from the truth.

History is littered with control freaks who need to dominate others....for their own good of course.

Now that your Nanny state is coming for the overweight and the soda drinkers...and soon enough the meat addicts...your days are numbered.

Once you Nanny statists anger enough people your kind will once again go back in your holes for another 100 years or so.

Thus history repeats itself over and over....

Overweight youth are affecting our national security. See article in Wash Post Nov.5th about how many young people are overweight. Also about how they are unable to join the Army because of their weight, and lack of education.

Taking away or taxing meat would fit right into your dastardly plans...eh?

First they came for the smokers...and Candid said YEA!

Next they came for the overweight...and Candid told big brother to get them as well.

Then they came for the soda drinkers...and Candid just smiled blindly.

Of course they also came for the Bacon eaters...and Candid still did not get it.

Finally they came for Candid...and Freedom's words were remembered.

Yes and these children are being raised by whom ? 80% of them by the Non Smokers.!
Thats why we should divide now.!
Since the southern states are the tobacco states, lets vote the smokers get the southern states. Of course to be fair we only want 1/5th of the land mass of the united states. You Non Smokers can have the rest.! We can form our own nation, and you guys can do whatever you want to do. Hell I even let you keep Obama.

Well take all the smokers from the Army, Navy, Marines and Air
Force and you can have all the Non Smokers. Equipment comes with individuals.! We get 1/5th of arsenal already developed.

Good luck to you all in your new Non Smoking Nation !
"Non Smokers of United States of America"

Brought to you by the New "Smokers of Untied States of
America".

We are not alone as many people are waking up to the reality of what the Nanny state stands for.

There are many who fall for Big Brother tactics of dividing people into groups while demonizing them one by one as they turn on each other.

Every tyrant needs scapegoats to keep the focus off of them.

Divide and conquer is a worn out tactic....and many of us know this.

Those who do not are simply "useful idiots"... blindly waiting for their turn.

They will go much higher and so will every thing you buy when the climate bill passes. States will also rise their taxes higher to compensate for all the price increases. This all so includes your utilities. Ours also went up and the home prices went down. Each tax raise or price increase affects someone else who will raise prices or taxes to compensate for their cost. A big snowball effect. Many people are losing their homes do to raises in their property tax, Wages have decreased 14% in the last few years. Well over 40 million jobs lost. That means tax raises to make up for the loss. Price increases to make up for the loss. Wait untill the national health care starts, everyone will be required to have it even if you can not afford it. It will not be free. The government is already broke so the money has to come from somewhere. What I am seeing is between all the raises and tax increases that our income will only be about 10% of what we get. but we have people in here who think this is all great.

For "the other side of the story",on this debate; the part your government doesn't want you to read, click on the above link for some medical and scientific reports that show there are some physical and mental health benefits for smoking and nicotine.

I think they may have a type of Dr. who could help you. I suspect men in white coats will soon come to take you to see him/her.

I will go into the bowling alley for lunch in Liberty now that I won't choke on smoke. Best burger in the Northland.

I suspect you have plenty of expierance with "men in white coats" taking care of you. But i suggest you find a better DR. the one you have is not giving you the help you need.

Enjoy your chopped LUNG cancer while you can...because soon enough your bowling alley will be out of business as bowling alleys usually fail under your beloved bans.

Shocking but true, eating a pound of directly grilled meat would give you as much carcinogenic benzopyrene as smoking 300 cigarettes. Thankfully, all this research has been performed on rabbits, cats and mice.

Daily Horoscope for January 5

Scorpio

Let the past stay in the past for now. Even though you may have fond memories of intense experiences, the Virgo Moon sees to it that you have virtually no desire to go there again just yet. This is your opportunity to show others what you can do in a more civilised environment. Don't try to shout down someone who is rude enough to interrupt. As unlikely as it may seem, the softest voice has the biggest chance of being heard today.
