Any thought as to how the residents of Lino might feel about this?

I can tell you as a Centerville resident. That thier is and overwhelming suport for this idea. The only reason Centerville city officials are against this idea and are negative about it is concern for loss of their positions and power within city government.
You do not have to merge the two Police Depts. Once Centerville merges with Lino Lakes, it would become Lino Lakes and by definition would be supported by the Lino Lakes Police Dept. The Circle Pines Police would go back to thier jurisdiction which is Circle Pines/Lexington MN. The benefit to Lino Lakes is the added tax revenue. |
