Has this person been released? I understand that there may be alot more information to this story. This is on the Times backyard--you would think that they would have followed up-----or maybe not since Media News now owns them!

First off we as parents were not informed of this until after 3:00 PM for those of us at the school trying to pick there child up it was the scariest thing ever. NO informationa t all. My child used her cell phone to text me, later got introuble for that. Thank god she did, I was so scared.

Today we received a voice cast with no information at all except the young boy was stable. I think we have a right to know and I think the school and the media need to get the truth out the rumors are flying.

Now that Anthony has been cleared, let's hope the Pleasant Hill Police Department gets serious and conducts a real investigation into this attack and prosecute the real criminal. I hope campus security is up to snuff at College Park, there is still a criminal on the loose! And, people, before you give police a name of a suspect, BE SURE you are positive, don't guess. Look what this case of mistaken identify has caused. All the police had to do was talk with the three credible alibis that were with Anthony and saved alot of grief. I wish the best for the victim and hopes he has a speedy recovery.
thank you

my daughter is a a senior at College Park and I can't beleive the way this investigation has gone. My heart goes out to Anthony and his family as wellas your son David. What a terrible ordeal for anyone to go through. Thank God Anthony was cleared and how scary for all us in the community to know a criminal is on the loose. My daghter is scared to go to school now. Thanks Pleasant Hill PD, anyone who knows Anthony knows he wouldn't have done this. Maybe its time to stop the inter district transfers....

I am very happy there was follow-up done on this story, but unfortunately this wasn't one of the "Rip and Read" stories that all the radio and TV stations reported on like they did when the first story came out.
This was an awful ordeal for both the victim and Anthony to endure. I think this is one that the police department needs to be truly ashamed about. I also don't feel that this was handled well at the school level either.
For the PH Police to still have the nerve to comment in the media about a box cutter of Anthony's that is still being tested. Come on!!!!

My son is a freshman at CP. I think it is pathetic that they did not even address this issue with the students the next day. They were just left wondering along with the parents. My son also said that there was no way that Anthony could have done this terrible thing! So basically there is still a criminal out there. It's a pretty sad day when a student can not go to the bathroom without being worried about being stabbed. What's next bathroom buddies??? I think we need security cameras in the halls and outdoor walkways. Most likely we would have seen the attacker's face!

if you want my opinion well your going to hear it. I think the kid and the witness were in the batroom fooling around and got stabbed by the knife and the boys are trying to vover it up. There has been no aplolgy from the victims parents the victim or the witness saying they made a mistake or even asking for information. If it were my kid that got stabbed I would be ont he phone with America's most wanted every new station under the sun offering a reward and information. The school should ahve done the same. Now I hear through my child they may not let poor Anthony back at school. Who is the real victim here. Let me know Mrs. Freitas or Mrs. Ridings if I can help get him back at school. I will be there to support him in every way I can. I don't even know your son. If more parents get together to fight for justice we can win. The true winners will be the freedom of all the kids when justice is served. I will not post my name on here, please send me a message I will contact you back, if I can help. It's all for the kids.

Thank you for your supporting comments! I think all parents of College Park students should demand a response from the district and principal on their planned actions to protect our students at College Park. I sent Mr. McHenry and Mrs. Oaks both an email yesterday asking such, being the suspect is still out there and our students are at risk. I have not received a response from them yet. College Park starting collecting witness statements from the student alibis today, they even called me at work to ask me for a statement (????????? Hello, I was not there to witness the event!(Hmmmmmmmmm, is this indicative the the investigation being conducted by the school???) Please contact the school and district to demand a solid plan of action to insure the security of the campus and our children! Who would think going to the bathroom during class time could be lethal? I hope the victim in this case recovers fully and can successfully assist in the investigation being conducted.

WHY oh WHY would they not let Anthony back in the school? That is certainly NOT JUSTICE!! Has he not already been through enough of a horrid ordeal?
I think the parents need to get a petition started to present to the school board and to College Park.
What exactly are they doing to investigate this? If they are contacting Maureen and she wasn't even at the school - what a waste of time!!! Why have we not heard anything about what is being done? We don't need to know the details - I can certainly understand for security reasons BUT how safe is it for our kids??? College Park is a big open campus and just about anybody wanting to walk onto campus can do so!

This is really over the top!(Maybe the PHPD needs a good PR person or a damn conscience ) The PH police Dept. needs to suck it up and come out with an appoligy to the Freitas family. They have tainted every law abiding high school student in PH! And for everyones information---my junior son arrived late on campus (9:30-10:00) wednesday and walked right in on campus in the exact location and was never stopped or asked a question. I would love to think it was because he is a scholar and an athlete but to be honest he thinks it is because there is NO ONE WATCHING! This is sad. The kids actually do not feel safe.

a very weak story on the 8th that still let the PHPD look like they were on top of things! when they aren't!

The e-mail that was sent home regarding the event was
very un-assuring. i have never read anything more dry & scripted,--- not to mention vague! I really do feel for those freshman parents that are saying "what the hell type of school do we have here"???
Unfortunately CP has always had a bit of a reputation
over the years for one reason or another. I think it is so sad that just as test scores are up & athletics are making news that we have this horrible incident ( MY HEART GOES OUT TO THE STABBING VICTIM AND HIS FAMILY).
And what is most horrible is the fact that the true criminal has gotten away with the crime, AND AN INNOCENT YOUNG MAN HAS HAD TO ENDURE A FALSE ACCUSATION WITHOUT RETRIBUTION. I would place bets that THE CRIMINAL WHO COMMITTED THE CRIME is not a College Park Student.

You guys are idiots. If you feel things should be handled a certain way, and feel they are being mishandled (as usual in your words), maybe you should try walking in the shoes of those you accuse of performing their jobs so poorly. Better yet, continue to do nothing and type yourt gripes on the internet, where you will not have to actually DO anything. Good job you sorry bunch of complainers. You complain that the police shouldn't jump to the conclusion that Anthony did the stabbing, then you get upset when they fail to jump to the conclusion that Anthony did not do the stabbing. Let them gather the facts and let the school handle the administrative issues.
