Lesbians' testimony exposes church rift

The testimony of a same-sex couple at an annual gathering of United Methodists in Jackson has kindled a controversy over the church's acceptance of homosexuals.

People make the comment "children of God" but how can these be children of God? i thought that a child of God was someone who has accepted Jesus and repented. They are going against something that the Bible condemns. i will probably leave the liberal United Methodist Church organization. John Wesley would turn over in his grave!

Jews believe in God and are children of God.
John Wesley is not God, neither are you.

The Bible condemns divorce, eating pork or shrimp, wearing blended fabric and drunks.

So what you're saying is that Jews, Hindus, Buddhists, Muslims, and others that do not accept Jesus Christ as their Personal Savior are NOT Children Of God, correct ?

Sheba is not saying is that Jews, Hindus, Buddhists, Muslims, and others that do not accept Jesus Christ as their Personal Savior are NOT Children Of God.

Scripture clearly states that those who have not made a conscientious decision to actively follow Jesus Christ are after their father the devil.

Sheba's opinion doesnt have anything to do with that.

You totally missed my point. Just like you said - let the stoning begin. My point is people need to judge themself before they start judging others and if you are going to hold fast to the Bible on one thing then you need to hold fast on the rest also; otherwise, you become a hypocrit
