I moved from Plantation three years ago because too many low lives were moving into the area. Started seeing too many young punks wearing gang colors hanging out at the Broward Mall, or hanging around the bus stops on Pine Island road. Unfortunately, incidents like this will probably become more commonplace over time. Since the police can't realistically be everywhere, carrying a gun might be a good idea. Think back to a year ago when the former marine shot and killed that piece of sh#t in the sandwich shop.

Okay--- someone had to see a car or something at that canal, come on,go back to that corner, with plenty of fliers, stop every car ,talk to people, someone just had to see something. Someone had to see a car stopped there at that canal, someones memory has got to get unjogged.
It is not every day that you see
a car stopped at a canal, someone just did not know what they were looking at.
I pray that someone comes forward real fast, that may have seen something.
God bless you my sister, I hope they find who every did this.

How many people have to die due to crazy insane people???? I guess we are going to all have to have gun training and carry them around like the police do so that we can react if someone approaches us.

Yeah it doesnt pay to drive a nice expensive car these days. Funny thing is just because you drive a car that cost alot doesnt mean you have any real money....all of your money goes for the car/insurance payments.

PJay wrote :"She might have won the confrontation, and we wouldn't be talking about a dead woman, but a dead attacker"

And then the media would cast the attacker as just about to turn his life around (already arrested 10 times) and then the attacker family would sue for millions.
And if he hadn't been killed the court system would give him time served and put him back out there to do it again. The media would blame society for creating the situtation.
And the real problem is we are not tough enough on these people. Until we do more of this is going to happen.

My heart goes out to her family & friends this was a lovely young lady who should not have died.

I do not know this woman, and my heart goes out to the family. Please, think before you write, they will read this, or their friends will. I recently lost a nephew, and strangers wrote terrible things. A family is in pain, and you do not need to add to it. Remember, what goes around, comes around, and twice as bad. Say a prayer for them instead.
Thank you.

Anyone that has been exposed to lawyers, good or bad, knows that there is a huge amount of bad karma attached to them. The reason that these scum criminals are let out on the streets is the lawyers that only care about winning, not about the society that suffers from their clients. Hold lawyers accountable for the actions of their clients and more lawyers (and the rest of us) will be safer. My condolences to her family.

"Fisher said her older sister wasn't flashy, but dressed professionally and wore valuable jewelry. Fisher said she was trying to control her grief while searching for serial numbers for the jewelry to help investigators track whoever killed her."

What a terrible tragedy. Something similar happened to a friend of my wife's but luckily she wasn't killed. She was not driving a Caddy just a modest car, but she was driving home from a wedding she just photographed. The perps followed her home and as she was unloading her car the perps held her at gun point and stole her camera equipment including what was just captured at the wedding.

They probably saw her prior to the Publix at a gas station or something wearing her jewlery and totally distracted on her cell phone. They probably followed her to the Publix. Living alone, she was probably only at Publix for 10 minutes. They followed her home and when she was distracted unloading her groceries she was attacked. Maybe the MACE set them off and they killed her.

Pay attention to your surroundings ladies and stay off your cell phones in public places
