Florida Churches Join AFA's Boycott Of Pepsi, Move To Drinking Coca Cola

When the Community Issues Council, which include Bell Shoals Baptist Church in Brandon, FL, decided it was time to join with the American Family Association and boycott Pepsi products, they made the switch to Coca Cola. In doing so, they went from a relatively LGBT friendly company to a really LGBT friendly company. Coca Cola has consistently scored higher on the Human Rights Campaign’s list of LGBT friendly businesses. The furor started when Pepsico donated money to groups such as PFLAG and the HRC.

Don't think they will make must of a dent. They tried to boycott disney but it did not work. So they can stop drinking pepsi there are enough of the GLBT community to keep pepsi in busy.

While they're at it they should shut down their computers. Apple, Intel, Microsoft, IBM, Dell and just about all other computer/software producers are gay friendly. Got an iPhone? Switch it off! Not only is it made by Apple, it's service is provided by AT&T which is also LGBT friendly.

Ninety-five percent of all Fortune 500 companies are LGBT friendly. The only way for the haters to boycott them all would be to live like the Amish or in a cave or something.

Let us not forget that when they boycotted Disney, attendance at the parks actually increased by 5+ percent. Clearly a boycott by loonies is a major deal maker.

The really funny part is that they boycott either companies they don't use anyway, or companies that they individually and privately have no intention of staying away from.

I'd call them hypocrites, but that would be an insult to hypocrites.

Yes, Disney added 'Gay Days' and, as I understand it, Six Flags is following suit! Great! America is still a bit groggy in it's tired attempts to hold onto the past. But, LGBT rights do seem to be marching on!
