Hi you guys. I don't know if any of you are reading this anymore, but I wanted to see if you would do the family a favor. I may be alone in my thinking, but the DA's office is now pulling back from the death penalty. He is seeking capital murder with life is prison, but is that really enough?
I would like to ask everyone if you read this to go and start writing letters. Write to the DA's office. Write the reporters from the TV stations, newspapers, and even your local officials. It might be harder to get, but she deserves that justice be done.
Thanks in advance.

May God give all of you the strength you need as the trial begins. May you feel his grace and peace surrounding you. May you feel his arms of love around your hearts as you walk through this valley. May you never forgot that God has already promised justice will be served.

I have been following this case from the first news story. My prayers for the McCallum family have continued throughout. I just found this blog today, and wish I had found it sooner. I was friends with Jennifer when she was at UT Tyler, but once I divorced and moved to Houston we lost touch.
I hope you (Jen's family) have found some peace in that the trial is over at least for now, and I pray that God continues to sustain you through each day and night. My heart is breaking for this family and precious girl.
May the love of Christ surround you like a shield.

Donna and family, We're so sorry for all you have gone through with the trial and loss of your precious daughter. Our hearts, thoughts and prayers are with you. We just learned about the trial yesterday (4-15-08). We're glad you have your granddaughter - and we're glad she has you. The little ones help to bring so much joy and healing. Our love - Peacock/Russell

God has been so good and faithful. He knows what we need more than we do. With the way the trial went and the conviction we have now, we can finally begin to heal and focus on living our lives. My sister is with him, and justice on earth has been served. Even though I wanted a death penalty at first, I am thankful that this is the end of the stress and worry. God has provided all that we need. We have a conviction, we wont have any further stress from future actions or appeals, and now we can raise a beautiful little girl. Thank you, for all your prayers, love and support. We couldn't have made it without all of it.

I'm not really sure why, but Jennifer is on my mind so much today. I will say a few prayers for her daughter and family. May God continue to heal each of your hearts.
