Once someone's lease is up, it depends on the market value of the home. I have one renter that's been there for years. I have one that's vacant that I'm trying to rent right now. The others have months to go on their leases.

I've never sold out from under a renter, if that's what you mean. I've bought and sold 5 properties, and currently have 4 plus my home.

Why do you ask?

You know what, I reread this thread and I know what you mean.

The renter that has been there for years is on her way to buying the house. The others are not doing that, but may consider it next year. I include lawn care and maintenance in the lease at a major discount, so it lets them stay without worrying about it, and it keeps the property well maintained.

It's all in my name, of course, just like this thread suggest to check out with a bank. Who holds the title... Also keep in mind I live within 25 minutes of all of my houses, and my renters know where to find me.

We don't have a lot of money and just got married and would like to get a place with a yard.Paying rent on an appartment seems like a waste of money.
Should we put alot of money down for rent/lease to own deal?I hate to ask all these questions, but I just don't know these answers. My wife is worried we can lose all of our money, so, we are unsure of what to do.

I am currently renting out a house I own with a mortgage in Houston, I want to offer the current leasee an option of lease to own. Their credit is not to good. In Texas can I do this legally?
