No, I would not agree to a strip mall in that location - I think Kingston is too pretty - it doesn't need more stores. A community center - for the kids would be great. No, Fremont has NO place for kids to congregate - safely. A community center would have been a much better option for us instead of a new library. I hope the people in Kingston get to all put there 2 cents in before anything is done.

Kingston hasn't approved development on route 125-- how would tearing down existing buildings on real estate with less traffic create revenue?
Some libraries are fantastic resources in their communities-- perhaps Fremont's library is not. Kingston's need for a library is but one option. Are resources provided for the elderly inherently not worthwhile? Is there any place in town for kids to congregate? Here is an example of something to be considered:
Would you also approve of developing the plains with a strip mall, for the quick cash infusion?

Well what's going on with the old high school just sitting there doing nothing what a great use. I was in favor of fixing it up but somehow we got a new school and a big tax increase with it. Sell the land sell sell sell and give the people in the town over 65 a big tax break for 2008

Some libraries are fantastic resources in their communities? get with it this is 2007 people use the internet today not so much the overpriced library. we don't need a new library just like we did not need a new school just fix the one we have. Sell the old school property and use the money to upgrade our town roads or give us a tax break for a year or so. Or even better put the money in a intrest bearing money market with the profits going to reduce the taxes for everyone. less taxes equal happier residents. step up to the plate!!!

yea...i go to sanborn now and there is nothing wrong with it all, people just think cause its old looking that its no safe. It is fine all the kids like it and there would be no point of tearing it down because it could be sometype of memorial or something....if they did tear it down then all they would do is put in more houses so the town sucks even more
Does your town have recreation center? If not that would be a great idea.

I agree. The kids need somewhere to go after school. Esp, the kids at the high school level.

I know this might sound a little like "Monday morning quarterback" but I was against the new school and say the town is still suffering from "massholitus".These people that move here (Southern NH) because they hate life in Mass. and they have the need to transfrom us into a Boston suburb need to come to thier senses or move back South.Fact is it was known the student population was shrinking at Sanborn before it was built and it is already falling apart.$35 mil out the window. No all these small towns that had volenteer fire dept. now are getting these massive safety complexes that in noway can you park old equipment in so now there's more millions spent for not.Now there is talk of unionizing the KFD so everytime there is anykind of town get together some of these tools will be overpaid at your tax dollar to point at exit signs?!?!?!?!
How about this, why don't we become more concerned with what is teaching our children rather then how old the building is they are in.Sanborns teachers are among the worst in the country

Yahoooo almost all spending was shot down in the latest voting. Including the library. But there sits the old high school and the building next to it, what to do what to do what to do with it. Gee maybe we should use it for the Library which currently is the size of my kitchen. At first I said sell the land but that will never happen so at least use it for something so the mice don't take it over. Or sell giving our pockets a tax break.

hoooowwwwwwww many more mister speaker hoowwwwww many more wastfull dollars do we need to spend on these stupid schools. We just can't afford it. We need tax breaks in this town not more spending. Less spending and saving for the future.

The school in Newton, the middle school is a horrible school. Move some kids to the old high school and create less of a problem in the Newton school
