Tough Mass. rules shrink field of casino hopefuls
When Massachusetts lawmakers legalized casino gambling, they took pains to ensure that casinos would not be built in places where they weren't wanted or operated by the ethically challenged.

Gambling is not going to save Boston or any other city.
Look at the cities around the country that have gambling. they are all looking for more revenue to waste on more government.
But they also have lots more crime and criminals thanks to gambling and lots more broke citizens who over gambled and lost.

You're right on target. You can rest assured that Everett no longer will remain the preferred vacation destination for the rich and famous. Oh, for the good old days of uncovered sulpher piles, junk yards, oil storage facilities etc. The list goes on and on. Can't you just picture the yachts of the wealthy now cruising into lovely Chelsea harbor instead?
