Matthew Perkins, 25, of the 4300 block of Taos, pleaded not guilty to DWI (sixth offense), driving while license suspended/revoked (arrest clause), reckless driving. Preliminary examination set for 2 p.m. July 14.$10,000 bond.

Really, sixth offense, unbelievable. Is this person going to have to kill someone before they put him away?

How do you get caught that many times? If he gets burned 5 times by a flame, does he think he won't get burned the 6th time? Person must drive drunk daily. Maybe his home isn't suitable for drunkenness.

Whats really unbelievable is the fact that he has only been of legal age to drink for four years, and only has a 10,000 bond.

out of 19 arrests, 10 were for contempt of court!! how can it be contempt when the judges give as much respect to people as they get!! this judicial system here sucks!!

Equal protection under the law... Judge Castaneda sets a $5,000. bond for a man charged with battery on a household member, and a personal recognizance bond for a woman charged with the same crime. He also releases one guy charged with possession of a controlled substance, released on personal recognizance... others get cash bonds. Guess it is just "who you know" in his court.

Maybe the man with a $5,000. Bond had many prior offenses?
