POB School Budget Represents the Lowest Percent Increase in 15 Years

The Plainview-Old Bethpage School District Board of Education recently announced that the proposed budget for the 2009-10 school year will maintain programs and preserve class sizes while limiting the impact on taxpayers.

Oh please - then how do you explain a 10% increase for assp supt for business (161,000 to 176,000) and an increase for the asst supt of curriculum from 166,000 to 222,000. People should go line by line in the budget and ask for explanations. Plainview talks the talk when it comes to education but it certainly doesn't walk the walk.
