There are 10 comments on the Concord Monitor story from Jan 19, 2007, titled The right tax verdict: Payment not optional. In it, Concord Monitor reports that:

Like a coral reef, the 20,000-plus-page code was built by accretion. It is the incomprehensible product of some well-meaning attempts to direct social policy and many self-serving efforts by politicians to ...

Sounds like a typical hit piece penned by a shill of the establishment media.
One thing constantly overlooked is the fact the law that requires us to pay is NEVER cited, only the tired saw of the "Supreme Court has settled this".
Ok, where is the law?
Just show it to us and all this will go away.
Contrary to your opinion, we have a RIGHT and OBLIGATION to question any and all laws we are expected to obey.

I know that this sounds crazy; I'm not sure what to think of this myself. I was reading an online news thread concerning Ed Brown of Concord NH, at first I thought this guy was just another nut but after doing some research of my own it seems he may have a valid point. Though I do not agree with his methods, what if the information that he and others have uncovered is correct? Part of my research lead me to view the online film by Aaron Russo (America Freedom to Fascism) now available for free on Google video. If you haven't seen this film, do yourself a favor and see it ASAP. If what this film says is true then we have all been taken by one of the largest scams in American history. The way I see it, the only way to put this to rest once and for all would be to allow Ed & Elaine Brown to appeal their conviction in a televised, live court case with both sides being allowed to present all of the evidence. Aaron Russo, along with others whom testified in his film should also be allowed as key witnesses to argue their points as presented in the documentary. If they are correct, then Ed and Elaine Brown are innocent and our government officials will have a lot to answer for. However if the IRS and the Federal Government are confident in the law then they should have no reason not to agree to this as this would settle the issue for all Americans once and for all.

What a communist rag! I take great offence at the article's closing statement. Who is the author of this bunk, Stalin? Call "us" any derogatory name you wish, but the FACT still remains... SHOW ME THE LAW THAT MAKES ORDINARY AMERICANS "LIABLE" FOR FEDERAL INCOME TAXES. And to the author of this slanted article, if you feel cheated because you want to "steal" the Brown's private property, or anyone's private property for that matter, with the expectation of entitlements, screw you. Time for you to go back to the Soviet Union and take some of your fellow socialist/communist politicians with you.
Waco II most certainly will have a different outcome than Waco I. Live Free or Die!

There really needs to be a serious investigation into the alleged Internal Revenue Service, what is the real laws about the so-called duty for individuals to pay taxes?
