Oh,that's right, how soon you LOOSIERS conveniently forget when you're on the other end! Hey, I did a little more research, as you suggested, and found that the 1932 "championship" was actually given to them about 20 years after it happened. They did not win any tournaments. The first recognized national championship took place in 1939. So it is: IU 5 Purdue 0

I knew Virgil personally and I know that I am a better person for having known him. He will always be with me. My friend and I drove down to say goodbye to him one last time. We love you Virg. I'll make the nasty guard proud for you.

Some of you amaze me. What happened that night no one will ever know for sure. He wasn't under the influence. He had some demons inside him that just got the best of him. I'm sorry for the other families' loss. This was a tragedy. I can't begin to think of what was going through his head but it wasn't him. If he wanted to take his life, i know he wouldn't want to take people with him. That is just not him. He was a good person and would never want to hurt innocent people and their families. These posts have come to the attention of my family. I thank those who give there condolences. The rest of you I feel sorry for you. I can't believe some of the thoughts that go through your mind. It saddens me to think that people would go on a board like this and just slander someone they don't know after he is gone. I will always miss my "bubby". He was always a light in so many peoples lives and he will always be one in mine.

It's now been over two years and I know that no one reads this anymore, but I still do. I still don't know what happened to my boy. I don't know why he was on the wrong side of the road. We do know he was not drinking, there was nothing in his system.I still think something else happened like he had been beat up or assaulted. This might account for confusion, he drove this road every night,it doesn't make sense. Our family does hurt for the families over the other boys because we know what they are going through

I still would love to know what happened to my son? No one has ever said anything about that night and I still don't believe it was an accident. His birthday is coming up in a few days if anyone knows any thing, please let me know. I loved him very much.
