Crime scene in Streams of Plainfield?

I'm just a concerned neighbor trying to figure out what happened in my neighborhood... On Monday morning there was a police cruiser and a crime scene van outside of a home in Streams of Plainfield; later that evening there was crime scene tape across the door. Does anyone have any information on what happened? I'm just wondering if any of the other Streams residents need to be on alert, like if it was a robbery or something.

Thanks for the info... I'll probably do that. It was weird - crime scene tape was gone yesterday. Still can't figure out what it might have been.

So now, after driving past the house in question, I see there's some sort of hole in the front door. Don't know if it's from a gun shot - which someone in the neighborhood would have heard - or if maybe the police had to use some sort of battering ram device to open the door?? Still can't get any info out of the police about what happened. The whole situation's really bizarre...

It was a burglary and some vandalism.

Update - today we see workers ripping out all their carpeting, padding too... What the heck happened there?!
