There is quite a bit of political progaganda, nowadays, that is not-so cleverly disguised as tax-deductible religious propaganda.

Sure that makes sense. I believe that. You believe that, therefore I will. Can't let others believe what they believe though because they are either propagandists or victims of tax supported propaganda.

Good thing they are worse than the Dems and Repubs. They are very sneaky. They need to get out of the business of whatever it was you said.

Don't be such a sore loser. President Obama got re-elected despite all the priests and preachers who demanded, in the name of their God, that their flock vote for Romney. Further evidence that many Americans are getting tired of this unconstitutional intrusion of church into government. Also good evidence that the political religious leaders are suffering from increasing impotence.

If these faith organizations what to save souls, that's great, more power to them and no taxes. But, if they want to influence elections and legislation, they should pay tax just like any other political organization.

Actually it went deeper and is more simple than that...

Romney is mormon...a cult in many christians minds...taught by those very same people who were encouraging christians to vote his way...

An excellent point. Some of the Christian hardliners were trying to vilify Romney, based on his Mormonism, prior to when he locked up the GOP nomination. Then, after Romney became the GOP candidate, the hardliners were faced with having to choose between what they viewed as a cult member from liberal Massachusetts, and a Black Muslim terrorist.

Truth is that President Obama is a Christian, American citizen, and a good husband and father. I don't believe that is politics are any further to the left than GW Bush was to the right. No other US President has had to endure the vicious personal attacks that Obama has had, and the only explanation that makes sense is racial bigotry. There are a number of vile bigots on Topix and their posts, clearly are driven by racial hatred, provide a window into this element of society.

Well, ever since Al Gore Vs. George W. Bush politics and the parties have since become more polarized and vicious...I can't deny that in some circles their is a racial element but seriously the two major parties have become so viciously personal against one another...and the media from both sides plays into that...then again so do the politicians...

It's time for those willing to work with each other despite the differences...maybe even recognizing and using the differences as strengths rather than to attack each other...to come together and take back this country and the debate from the polarizing viciousness on both sides...

Not a sore loser. Not a loser. Is that how you had to make assumptions for the rest of your post? Romney? Seems you have an ax to grind and it is never enough. Enjoy the victory. No, now it is time to seek your agenda. Good luck with that. Presume on.

Let's see how this next four years will cure your angst over this issue and lay it to rest. Write your congresscritter. They made the tax code what it is. Rewrite the First Amendment. Get the Supremes to use your logic and get rid of religion's hold on government and its intrusion. However that would work. Split off a person's beliefs from government. Yeah, that's the ticket. Good thinking. Make it a law. Then one person's beliefs about the others mythological beliefs will prevail. After all, turn about is fair play.

You really are pretty clueless.

I will be the first to defend your freedom to practice your religion in your church or home.

But I will be your worst enemy if you try to impose your religion in my government, home, public schools, clinic or hospital.

My point exactly. "...MY government....." Didn't realize you owned it. Now that I know I will stay well clear and go underground...Sure you will defend that freedom...your hate drips out from your words. I trust that. Sure.

Anything else that you own and control? Keep going. That excludes a lot of Americans you would defend their freedom to express. What gives? Your logic or your rhetoric, or both? Want to have it both ways? Take it. It is yours.

Hey Willothewisp...have I ever told you I like your tag quote?

It's true...

That's why we all need to be more aware and direct our thoughts and words to "create" the reality that lines up most with God...

In many christian circles...God can through His thoughts/words...and His people create a world of redemption, joy, love and outpouring abundance...

So much of this world lately though is abject apathy, backbiting, greed, just plain ugliness...and sin...

Truly...Jesus was right in asking..."Will I find any faith when I come back?"

We can't grow weary in doing good...I've been there lately...not fun...

It's time to get re-energized and get back to doing good...letting Him do His work through me...for His Glory first and then...for friends and family...

No point in trying to discuss anything with you if you are going to maliciously misrepresent what I post. Did you really think you could get away with such a childish antic? Or are you suffering from such dementia that you really thought I claimed ownership of the USA? It is your words from which hate exudes.

Listen to this and come back to the forum when you can act like an American.

I guess if someone says that they have their knickers in an uproar over someone trying to impose their religion in your (My) government it is open to interpretation. It is their government also and they can obviously feel it is better to impose those values than the ones congress presently is manifesting.

And did like Seeger with the Weavers. And took him decades to repudiate Stalin. Nice choice.

And Woody Guthrie, who wrote the lyrics, had similar political views, which is why it was written to a familiar tune....

Makes sense. No surprise.

"But I will be your worst enemy if you try to impose your religion in my government, home, public schools, clinic or hospitals." Same for your politics. I guess that will limit those with different beliefs.

This society was built on the concept that rather than one group over another gets to say "lalala I'm not listening" and making laws to silence and limit differences...we are all to be mature and open in listening whether we agree or not...

The lack of maturity by many on the left to seek some kind of legislation when they are "offended" goes against the concept of everyone of our freedoms not given by the constitution but given by God and written down in the constitution...

Technically...the constitution limits the role of government not only religious expression but any kind of freedoms of the people...

Progressive liberals don't get it...

Never will...the immaturity level will never allow them to...

If you really think that the US Constitution is the written expression of your bisexual fraud of a messiah, you are delusional.

Nope, you have been busted for lying again. My statement, which you quoted, did not apply to your politics.

All I am insisting on is the same thing that the courts of the US have long upheld...separation of church and state. Your religious freedom does not include turning our democracy into a barbaric religious theocracy. It does not give you the right to burn the books and churches of other people. Nor does it give you the right to force your religious mythology onto other people's children in public schools. And it certainly does not give you the right to dictate what women do with their reproductive systems.

Get over it, and go practice your religion in your church and home.

And you presume to know my politics. Just seems to be your usual spring board for you tolerance. And now it is separation in health care and your home and whatever. Would rather Smith's didn't sell Christmas decorations. Should be some separation between food and cross.

You make me your straw man and pile on your tirades. Such tolerance and understanding will stand you in good stead.

The nice thing is that you are clueless about your tolerance and the consequences.
