I had not heard about this ordinance until now, but what kind of goofballs have you all elected to your city council? The dumbing down of urban ABQ is complete.

Well if it is a government or business entity it is okay. Civilians of the common class shouldn't make albuquerquirky look bad or like a prison planet set.

Go a step further and ban barbed wire in fencing as it can seriously injure a horse.

Chemtrails are far more dangerous to horses than barbed wire. Horses are outside much of the time and get heavy exposure to the chemicals raining down on us.

Methinks the lady doth protest too much. "Lie(s)" and "liar" seem to be your favorite words for everyone. You, on the other hand, are telling the truth about yourself for everyone to read. Clever dissembling by not quoting a poster's text in your "quoting" them, so you can hurl your bigoted and vitriolic one-liners, hoping that people won't know the context.

Santa Fe Gray seldom has anything to say except to argue. Grays focus is to take exception to anything anyone else has to say w/o adding anything to the thread(s) that's useful. Negativism 101.

And staying on-topic, the ordinance is a knee jerk response to a non existent problem. Another self serving political ruse by the TWITs we continue to elect.

Yeah seems we have a three tier system: Government, business, civilians. Government and Business get to put razor wire around their buildings, roofs, walls to protect their possessions and security. Civilians need not apply. It doesn't look good. Might as well move to Tanoan and have the neighborhood association dictate the color of your grass.

It reduces the quality of life, drastically reduces property value, can seriously injure anyone attempting to climb over. Governmental buildings seldom have barbed wire unless it is for law enforcement, security, or correction facilities. ABQ is just catching up with the rest of this planet, as It always seems to do.

I note you left businesses out of the equation. And as you noted...none unless it is for "security"...why else have it?

The real reason for this is to make it easier for the cops to breach your property and come and get you in the event they feel you're not being compliant with the ways of the New World Order.

So does having your possessions stolen.
IM NEVER WRONG wrote:
<quoted text> drastically reduces property value
So does an increasing crime rate in ones neighborhood.
IM NEVER WRONG wrote:

Others have no business climbing over someone elses fence in the first place!

This isn't about government bldgs, its about residents protecting their personal space and property.

And Abq's politicians as usual are holding things back and people hostage with arcane ignorant ordinances like this one.

The bottom line is that the City of ABQ effectively banned barbed and razor wire where it should be not allowed. tts time to stop crying those big wet tears and concentrate on beautifying your city. I and other tourists want a pleasurable experience when we visit.

Lol, as a resident here for the last 44 years I want a pleasurable experience too, so please take this as a sincere desire for you to stay away! Razor wire is not what makes our city unpleasurable.
