One really has to wonder exactly what the point of the video was, what it was intended to accomplish. It certainly pissed off a lot of people, probably more for being so graphic vs how we normally get our meat, which obviously includes death of the animal.

Don't know, I turned the channel when it came up on each of the 3 major news stations. I don't care to watch that manner of crap myself.

FATALLY shooting a horse? Gosh, I was hoping the animal would be wounded and just flop around in the muck for hours. But that 'FATALLY' part is what really shocks me. Good thing we got news-writers to tenderly sculp the world that us Sesame Steet Supporters have.

Well, time to go out and get a hamburger. Hambergers grow on vines, don't they?

All the entertaining comments regarding this story are at the KOBTV 'news' article. So... does anyone know if IKEA has swung by to pick up the carcass?

Wait till Valley meat opens you'll have 40 more just like him. Look up Kauffman Texas and see how their crime rate soared with the horse slaughter plant. Not to mention, the EPA violtions and their sewage system being over-run with horse blood !

That is so true! The horse was a handy prop. The violence was directed at any one who dared oppose them. Check out Kauffman texas .Their crime rate soared while the Horse Slaughter plant was open there. It makes you crazy to kill horses all day long.

The way they kill them is inhumane. They bleed them to death, so they die slowly. It is very cruel what they do. It was on Channel 4 about a week ago. IMO, anyone that has the, or lack of heart, to do such a thing, should be hooked up to be bled themselves.

They stand in line and know they are next. They see, hear smell and sense the violence. Then they are hit in the head with what is called a captive-bolt. Can you, imagine trying to hit a flailing horse in the fore-head? they may hit the eye, the nose or side of the head. It rarely kills them they are only stunned. They are hoisted upside-down, many still alive. Then, finaly they are cut, many many still alive. Roswell, you need to google what the Mayor of Kauffman Tx. said about the horror that this caused there. The few jobs created were nothing compared to the problems it caused.

I just saw what was shown on the news channel that day. I was horrified at the thought of such a beautiful and elegant animal going through that. I hope that the people of Roswell stand up and say "Not in our town". It makes me sad, and outraged that people do this things to animals. It makes me wonder if they can do that to an animal, what are they capable of doing to another human being.
